Boys and Girls Soccer: Better late than never, top ten rankings coming soon; CIF rankings out today

There were no boys and girls soccer previews this year, a decision made for all our regional newspapers because we simply were overwhelmed with the winter season starting a week earlier. But that does not mean soccer coverage will suffer, especially at the Tribune, because it’s one of my favorite sports. We’ll start with boys and girls top ten rankings next week, and start covering games soon. I would encourage all coaches to update MaxPreps with rosters, results, etc, so we can all follow soccer and schedule the big games throughout the season. I would also like to hear from you, who you think are the best teams, best players and best games to cover. We also need all soccer teams to call in results for the paper and blog to 626-962-8811, ext. 2242, 2213 or email to scores@sgvn.com.
