Aram reporting that Bishop Amat and Charter Oak may finally meet in football next year ...

It's a great game, but the game I'm clamoring for now is Monrovia vs. West Covina. After they both win their second straight titles this weekend, why shouldn't the two back-to--back CIF champions meet next year? Their coaches are friends and both have a lot coming back to go for a third straight title. Why is it the games we want most are the hardest to set up?
Bishop Amat and Charter Oak are near a deal to play next season in a matchup of two of the area's top football programs, according to sources.

I Think Personally That West Covina Should Play San Dimas @ West Covina,I think that would be a great game!

With BA playing Chino Hills, Charter Oak and Damien aren't they really playing in the Sierra League where they belong? Hagerty is a master at scheduling wins in preseason in some sort of recruiting effort that has yet to play off, opps pay off. Freudian slip.

Fred,

I though that Westco still had that nasty little formality of having to play a football game before we went ahead and crowned them the Southeast Champions. I know that it is just down right petty for La Serna to not concede the crown and it must be much more stressful for you to have to actually go gather some real information and report it(you know your job). It would just be so much more convenient for you if La Serna bowed to your superior football knowledge and gave up. You could have so much more fun if you didn't have to do that damn job. Then you could spend arranging dream dates and parties and football games.

I wish I had the influence to make that happen. I can remember a freshman championship passing league tournament game MHS vs WC. The game was being played with kids that next season will be in their senior season. It was pretty amazing and believe me it would be a great game. CRAFT BRYANT, G5 and Brett Walsh were all on that passing tournament team. But I have heard MHS schedule is set. And they have very to preseason.

I would love to see Amat play CO, Wc, and St Paul next season. Unlike the bloggers who do nothing but hate, I think these games are good for all. In reality they mean nothing more than bragging rights. All the nonleague games have zero impact on the playoffs.

The truth is, we should all support all the teams in the SGV. It is a good thing when the SGV can produce many good teams, and not just one or two.

Remember that it is really just a game, and this competition is good when we the parents lead with class and overall support.

I like seeing local teams play each other. Chino Hills is playing Amat & West Co. CO playing Amat would be good too. These kinds of games help make the area rankings more definitive. It is also a great comparison of programs.
