Football Notes: Bishop Amat’s Jalen Moore and Adam Sanchez set to go in all-star game

By Aram Tolegian
Bishop Amat leading rusher Jalen Moore and leading receiver Adam Sanchez will participate in the Catholic/Christian Literacy Classic All-Star Game on Jan. 12 at Whittier College. Moore and Sanchez will be on the South/East team which will play the North/West team. Both teams are made up of players from private Catholic and Christian high schools.

There are expected to be several college scouts in attendance. That’s good news for Moore, who is trying to earn a scholarship after two consecutive dazzling seasons at running back.

Moore almost didn’t find out about the game, but game officials overcame a communication issue with Amat and connected with Moore via Facebook and got him in the game.
