VVL aint gonna like this post but last month I blogged that one solution could be that experienced head football coaches unionize in order to battle their own teachers unions. Once schools realize how much they need real leaders fully credentialed and trained, things may change. When attendance at games drop, when kids transfer to solid programs,when schools hire dangerous head and assistant coachesand disciplinary problems with players with guys with no experience on how to handle them then maybe the community and schools will decide they have to find a better way to support these men. I fully believe that these coaches are burned out but its not from coaching. It’s from all the other stuff that surrounds coaching that they get no help, money or time to do it in. Schools all over the SGV have had major problems with their walk on coaches but have swept the stories under the rug and hidden them. Some stories have made it out like ER and MV but not many. Those stories will leak out in the coming weeks.If you have a great coach and pay him the school makes money. If you don’t the school loses money and reputation. Texas and Florida get it we don’t.

at Northview a great back and forth game, with 6.5 seconds left in OT, Northview inbounds to (guess who) T Francis with Wilson up 51-50, JR Nelson steals the ball from #15 and goes the length of the court with a layup, final Wilson 53-50, #15 made all of his 18 points in the second half with superb long shots but came up short in the end, VVL will be interesting this year (again)
