By the way, I was at the ABCA convention in Anaheim and I saw Nieto breaking it down with Gillespie (UC Irvine), Cruz (USC), Savage (UCLA), and Marquis (Stanford), and Morris (Miami) - he is always networking.

On a serious note. Who cares about how many kids from other schools signed with NLI schools?. Who cares if Hags and Nieto are still fighting ove Anderson and Rio? Who cares who did or didn't do what? Who. Cares if the color is yellow or gold? Who cares about all these AMAT haters on here?? A couple of years ago, my boy was the big stud... Received about 22 info/intro request letters,they were all time dated material most from september and october... When did he get these from Hagerty? At the end of the season, a week after a week 2 playoff lose... LATE NOVEMBER!!!
His answer to me was that those letters are only a distraction during the season...
If he worked as hard promoting his players, as he does his Hit and Hustle camp ($$$), Amat would have 20 scholarship players every year...

Don't have problems getting a hold of anyone else during vacation.

The Katz Man, BEFORE you go off on Hags and PRAISE Nieto on helping players you'd better ask Andrew Medina and his dad about that 'help' Nieto provides.

Heard that a D2 midwest school was inquiring about AM thru Nieto and NEVER heard back from Nieto in a timely manner. By the time the follow-up was done, Said school had moved on to other prospects.

That is the difference between Hagerty and Nieto. Nieto goes the extra mile for his players. Nieto will find a place for all of his players to play at the next level if they wish to continue playing beyond high school. Also Hagerty has won a total of 1 playoff game in 4 years. Nieto has won 3 CIF championships in 5 years.

Congratulations to Jalen and Adam for making the squad . Should be a great game and hopefully the first game of many to follow .

I am looking at this blog's photo side bar and I see the one entry titled "Bishop Amat High athletes sign letters of intent". I was shocked that Amat only had 3 athletes sign NLI's. Let's compare other schools, Santa Margarita signed 12, Orange Lutheran signed 15, Mater Dei signed 17, St. Lucy's has 12. Amatalum is complaining that the football program is lacking college offers, I am guessing they will sign a couple? With athletics being so important at Amat, don't you think there should be more than 3 college NLI's?

My disappointment with Bishop Amat is that I left phone messages and text messages trying to find out who is involved in this game and I get no response back. This is not the first time, either. Thankfully, Mr. Moore read this blog thread and contacted me to let me know his son was playing. If I'm being honest, Bishop Amat needs to do a better job of promoting its football athletes.

Amat players playing in this game would require Hagerty to make an effort to get them in the game, that ain't happening. Once the season is over and you're a senior, he could care less what happens too you. While you're their he could care less who is recuruiting you, he ain't helping out, that's not his job, just askin him. All he cares about is bishop amat football, not the players invividually.
