What is everyone’s preseason Top 10?

    Here’s Mine:

    1) Amat: Top Notch Schedule when including non-league affairs. Talent is always there… What is the saying, “We don’t rebuild, we reload?” Note: I am NOT an Amat person.

    2) South Hills: 2 of the premier Players to anchor and lead their team in Saylor and France.

    3) Damien: Chad Lee and group should give underrated Coach Al Leyva a very good group to work with.

4)Tie: Northview: Good Talent. Solid pitching and Coaching. Hard Working-Blue Collar team.

4)Tie: Bonita: Garza is a great place to start. Coach Knott’s squad will come ready to play. But will there be enough offense?

    6) Glendora: Coach Dan Henley always has the Tartans ready to play. Has a lot of young talent to remain the Top Dawg in the Baseline League. Will be among the Top 2 in the valley next year.

    7) San Dimas: The Saints have the Milwee (Sp) brothers amongst others to remain the team to beat in the Valle Vista. Coach Reagan is amongst the Valley’s best.

    8) Diamond Bar: Never can leave out the Bramas out of the picture. Have Omana and others to lead them will have a solid season.

    9) Charter Oak: Travis Santiago will be a good starting point for the Chargers to build on. Good local feeder programs will always keep the Chargers amongst the Valley’s Top 10.

    10) Los Altos: Has a Division 1 San Diego St signee along with good nucleus for Coach Formano to work with.

    Again, just my thoughts….

    What’s your Top 10?

Damien at #3?? Yeah right! with a 17-13 record from last season, i highly doubt their stock has risen that fast! and def shouldnt be ahead of Bonita!!!

  • sgv baller

maxpreps has amat ranked 16th in the nation. materdei is ranked fourth. harvard westlake and jw north are the only other socal teams on the top 25.

  • Spartans Fan

Damien has been to the quarter-finals last three years, that alone should help their cause in the rankings.

Let me say one thing, previous seasons have nothing to do with current rankings. I personally think the ranking should be based on how teams look for this season. Who cares if damien has been in the playoffs last 3 years? It’s all about who is coming back and performing, and how they are looking in preseason. Bonita- Solid, but when Garza is not throwing how are they gonna stand. Northview- Scrappy as usual. Glendora- who knows, South Hills- Dang good. Charter Oak- Returning what could be the most dangerous staff of arms in the valley, how will the offense hold up? absolutely going to be a top tier team.
I say this is one hell of a year for baseball

    Loerneger please QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • damien and bishop mom

Wow la puente is in this tournament should be quite interesting, We played them last year in the chino tournament and we won 10-0 and for 4th place we won 4-0, pretty goood frisky team. I keep reading on there 4 stud pitchers. Watch out for them this year. Go damien, amat,!

  • SD BB WHO?

MilWee? Are you kidding me. That’s all they have.

SD will finish second or third in VVL like always…

  • west covina

Someone either fire loerenger or fire the AD for not firing Loserenger. What A joke!

  • New WC Parent

Whats the deal with Lorenger? No baseball talent here? Talent no coach! What is it? What about other levels?
