Welcome to Longo Toyota/Scion Slam Dunk Competition

Students of each school in the San Gabriel Valley area are encouraged to record and upload their best “slam dunks” to the online contest. Any student who submits to the contest will then be a representative of their school. Each school may have multiple entrants. Only one submission per entrant will be permitted.

Once the submission period ends, voting begins. With each round of voting, the videos with the lowest amount of votes are eliminated. Each round will eliminate 50% of the entrants. For example, if there are 20 entrants still in round 2, the bottom 10 will be eliminated.

The final round will be held at Longo Toyota / Scion in El Monte to coincide with the NCAA Final Four. A mixture of the high school finalists performing live, college basketball finals coverage on TV, and prize giveaways will be going on that day.

The winning dunk by a student will be awarded a $1500 scholarship provided by Longo Toyota / Scion.

The winning school will also receive a $3500 scholarship from Longo Toyota/Scion.

Video entrants must be between the age of 13 and 18 years old and a legal California resident to enter. Voting entrants must be at least 13-years-old to enter.

LIMIT ONE VIDEO ENTRY PER PERSON. VIDEO ENTRANT MUST BE AN ENROLLED STUDENT IN A SAN GABRIEL VALLEY AREA HIGH SCHOOL. LIMIT ONE VOTE PER DAY PER PERSON. DUNK MUST BE ON A 10′ REGULATION BASKET AND NO PROPS OR AIDES ARE ALLOWED TO INCREASE THE PARTICIPANT’S HEIGHT OR ABILITY TO JUMP HIGHER.
