Aram posted sad news for all of us, our beloved Big Bob passed away Wednesday evening …

Duarte/Monrovia area fixture “Big Bob” died in his sleep at home early Wednesday evening at age 52.

Big Bob, whose real name was Henry Clark, was best known in recent years for becoming one of Monrovia’s biggest football fans. He made appearances this past season on this website’s PrepXtra Live show as an outspoken Wildcats fan.

Here is Big Bob talking with us on PrepXtra Live in November. He joins us just after the 30-minute mark…I miss him already, can still hear him screaming, “That’s Baby Ball.” He loved to call and talk football and his infectious personality is why I enjoyed our conversations so much

Heartfelt condolonces to Big Bobs friends and family. His passion for Monrovia football was there for all to see and such passion I’m sure played a role in Monrovia’s rise as a SGV power house. He did not hide behind a screen name but readily identified himself and was willing to take on bloggers face to face, a rare thing on these blogs. I will miss him.
