St. Lucy’s sweeps Los Altos: Two-time defending CIF-Southern Section Division 2AA champion St. Lucy’s Priory continued its fast start this season with a 25-20, 25-15, 25-17 sweep of Los Altos on Tuesday night. The Regents (3-0), who have moved up to Division 1A and are ranked second in the early-season CIF-SS poll, have not lost a game this season.

Maranatha beats San Marino in five: Maranatha avoided hitting into the net and took advantage of perfectly placed Skylar MacLeod sets in the fifth game to defeat the Titans, 25-22, 15-25, 21-25, 26-24, 15-7.

NONLEAGUE
Chino Hills 3, Santiago 2

The Huskies opened their season with a 23-25, 25-27, 25-23, 25-21, 15-11 victory.
Karrah Wood led Chino Hills with 17 kills and Meghan Buzzerio added 14 kills and three blocks. Shelley Anderson chipped in with 42 assists.

Bishop Amat 3, San Gabriel Mission 0
The Lancers (1-0) defeated the Pioneers (0-1) 25-12, 25-13, 25-10 behind the efforts of Mariah Jackson, with 12 kills, and Sam Quesada-Diaz, with 10 kills.

Glendora 3, Walnut 0
The Tartans evened their record at 1-1 by beating the Mustangs (0-2), 25-13, 25-22, 25-15. Senior middle blocker Cassandra Freitag led Glendora with eight kills. Senior setter Casie Lowden chipped in with 18 assists, six kills, three aces, three digs and one block. Senior libero Lauren Hyllengren had 10 digs and one ace.
