    In a world of overblow hype, this kid Palmer is the genuine article. I hope you remember to recount his championship game heroics as he joins the panel. This will be for the ages.

  • Sports Fan

    Leave the kid alone.

    Man, some of you just have nothing better to do than run your mouth about a high school junior? Really?

    Kid is humble and comes from a great family. Last year he led his team as a sophomore to the CIF title game where they just happened to run into the buzz saw that was West Covina.

  • La Mirada Guy

    @Aram or Fred
    When checking the Prep football pick-em for this week, I believe Cal beat Fullerton. But its recorded as a loss on this weeks pick-em ticket. May change things up a bit.

  • Colt74

    Good eye!
    Trib has the score recorded backwards. Cal won.

  • patrick

    Great kids! and nice interview!

  • The Chef

    I say 84-21 is the artist formerly known as Steely Don. Hey weren’t you the idiot that said that Coach Beltran was an fool for taking on Westlake? I guess I understand why you are hiding your identity. You seem to be doubling gown on your high school career playing flute at the football games to carry on your ignorance and bitterness. i also see why you have directed your jealousy at Frankie Palmer because you El Rancho Dons have done nothing to talk about. By the way, how is your Taco truck doing and are you still hanging out on Passons?

    84-21,
    Why do you stalk this kid? What a loser, your life must be miserable, this kid is probably 16 yr’s old. If you saw the interview you can see that the kid is smart, humble, and well spoken, and is a proven leader of his team. I second that he comes from a good family. Why all the jealousy? Do you hate when others succeed? Please do the world a favor and don’t have kids.

    These kids just posted the biggest win of their careers (to date) and maybe the biggest in school history.

    Why not let them enjoy it? If they brick vs. Norco, then so be it. Nobody can take away the win over Westlake.

    Shouldn’t we be proud of them? Or would rather Westlake have won? These guys repped their school and area very well. We all should be proud.

    I love how people are now making Westlake out to be nothing special. Just classic.

  • Colt74

    Fred,
    So if others see nothing special and think the win over Westlake is a fluke..or Westlake is really not that good this year..you have a problem with that and the kids deserve the credit?

    You mean like you gave credit to Covina 2 years ago when they beat West Covina?

    Hows that shoe taste?

  • Colt74

    Sorry..meant Aram.

  • http://www.insidesocal.com/sgvfootball Aram

    Colt 74,

    How’s what shoe taste? When did I not give Covina full credit for that win? And after the win, did I come on here and say “Boy, you know, West Covina isn’t that good.” No, I certainly did not.

    And I would not compare beating West Covina BEFORE it won back-to-back championships in the Southeast to beating Westlake, which was 14-1 last year and played in the D-1 State Championship Bowl Game.

    You can sit here all day and say Westlake is down compared to last year, and perhaps they are, but now people are making this team out to be Blair and it’s getting ridiculous.

    It was a great, great, win. Embrace it.

  • 84-21

    This young man (Palmer) is adorable; what’s not to like? With the maelstrom of hatred slung my way, I too had developed an ulcer and had to consider removing my 84-21 designation. But when Frankie himself disclosed that this score is prominently displayed in the team room, I knew I had to bite the bullet to keep these numbers front-and-center. My bowel may suffer, but the Lancers will get stronger.

  • BraveDad

    @ 12 Man,

    The LA Times rankings are a bunch of crap! We should be ranked higher than half the teams ahead of us if not higher how the heck is MD higher than us when we whipped them last year and we are rolling this season, outscoring our opponents 122 22? Our starting D has not allowed a freekin TD all season. Soundheimer is an idiot who plays favorites, and we know were not one of his favorites. So dont put too much weight in his poll.

    Maxpreps and Calpreps rankings are done by formula and we are higher than most of Soundheimer’s favs on those polls. How can we be #7 in the state and #30 in the nation on Maxpreps and freekin #12 on the LA Times list. I’ll tell you why, because Soundheimer is a fool! Heck, he still had Servite, his all time favorite, ranked until last week’s embarrassing loss to Edison when he was forced to remove them. Calpreps has a poll based on regions, one of which is the “Farwest” and includes the states of CA, Wash, and Or. On that poll Bosco is #7 – OUT OF THREE STATES.

    A huge example of Soundheimer’s idiocy was last week’s article on Saturday after our trouncing of Loyola. Eighty percent of the article focused on his bashing of our Nike issued uniforms, which were pretty bad a$$ by the way, and the rest about the game itself. Again, I wouldn’t put too much weight on anything that he has to say. Even when he does occasionally have something positive to say about Bosco my reaction is usually, stay out of our business. We dont need you hyping our team. We don’t need his dumb a$$ to tell us we have one of the top teams in the nation!

    SEMPER FORTIS!

  • BraveDad

    BTW: I meant to write 222 – 22!!!!

  • 12th man

    Brave Dad,
    The Times rankings are pretty accurate for the most part..Maxpreps calculates from strength of schedule & can not detect injuries or when a team is having a strong run (momentum)..As for your team..I do believe they are one of the Pac5 power houses & should be ranked probably in that #5 spot along with Tesoro or if not in front of them…One thing for sure there is only a handful of teams that can contain the Santa Margarita offense & your team is one of them~

  • BraveDad

    @ 12th Man,

    Right on. As far as containing SM we did so last season and lost by a TD because of a mistake, i.e., fumble late in the game, and lost a double overtime shootout by 6 in 2010; so yeah, we’ve hung with them the past two seasons and beat them three years ago. That said, I think we can beat them this season because of our defense. Our offense can score against anyone, but outscoring Stanton and the gang will take an all out effort on our part and we have the horses to get it done. Outscoring them begins with our Ds ability to keep Stanton and the SM O off the field. I want to hear our student section chanting THREE AND OUT the rest of the season just like last Friday. It was goose bumps loud and it was freekin sweet!

    I welcome all to join us on Bellflower Blvd on Nov 2nd for what could be the League championship deciding game and one of the best HS football games in many years (it’ll be hard to top the excitement of that double OT game in 10, but the game will be classic none the less). Just dont take my parking spot and were cool (but youll have to be there pretty early to do so LOL!) First things first though – Jordan High in Utah is next.

    Oh yeah, Soundheimers rankings blow!

  • Norco

    LS has no idea whats coming there way Friday night…Norco by 40…book it…

  • The Chef

    @Norco,
    You ignorant toothless hillbilly. Put down the shine and take the other hand off the 12 year old while bloging. Obviously education gets no more consideration than oral hygiene out there in Fontucky. You must have been milkin’ the bull and got kicked in the head to come up with that prediction. I think that the Lancers are going to drop the Kittens hard and send them running back to their Sisters for a little country comfort.

  • 84-21

    We all know what the score was the last time a really good team came to Cal High Stadium, right? There must be something about that dead turf that brings out the best in visiting teams. I look forward to Chef’s trash talk after this beat-down.

  • Norco

    Chef…

    far from being a hillbilly…I will be seating on LS side at the very top of the 30yd line…Come by and say hi and introduce yourself…Im a transplant to Norco from Santa Ana…look forwward to meeting your punk azz..

  • The Chef

    @Norco
    Can’t you Hillbillies find enough sheep and young boys there in Fontucky. Do you have to come here on the blog to troll for rendezvous with young boys and their azzes? Save it for your Sister in case she just ain’t in the mood again. I understand why you don’t want to sit on the Norco side. I’ve seen what goes for women in Fontucky. You must really be some kind of stupid to try to pull that shat… Grow up loser, youre not still in High School.

  • The Chef

    @84-21
    Steely Don. Still acting the Biyatch about the field, because your Dons have given you nothing to talk about. While you fret about the grass, these kids just win on it. You are fixated on the past and you don’t appear to be going anywhere with your future. You have derived your identity from what you see as LS greatest failure, but, far from failure this team has embraced the loss as a means to make tem better. Enjoy the game in the luxury accommodations and be maybe you’ll finally learn some football.
