Last Week: After taking an unprecedented eight-game league and mocking Aram for going 12-13 last week, the Big Fella cut the lead in half while I looked like the fool this week. One thing is certain, this year has been more unpredictable than ever. I went 11-10 while Aram when 15-6. I took Azusa, San Dimas, El Monte, Walnut, Glendora, Rowland, Baldwin Park, Los Altos, Diamond Bar, Pioneer and lost all of them. Aram hit some big ones, taking Gladstone over El Monte, Monrovia over San Dimas, Brea over Diamond Bar and Don Lugo over Azusa.

This week:: Two of the best games are on Thursday night, and I thought long and hard about taking Glendora, but I’m sticking with Charter Oak. If you remember, Glendora ran well on Charter Oak last year and the Chargers are without Khari Garcia. It could get interesting, but the Chargers are just better. I also thought about taking South Hills over Monrovia, but the Wildcats showed me something in whipping up San Dimas, so I’m going with the ‘Cats. Amat won’t have as easy a time as people think against St. Paul. Not having Darren Andrews is HUGE. While Koa Haynes has been great, Andrews has been the difference maker. Still, how can you pick Amat to lose at home? Love West Covina to bounce back in the Hacienda against Diamond Ranch, arguably the team with the best chance of beating them in league. And the Montview League title hunt is on the line opening week with Gladstone at La Puente. I’m going with Happy Rock.
