How will Glendora boys basketball fare in the Baseline?

Glendora (14-2) opens the Baseline League tonight at Rancho Cucamonga (14-3) at 6:30 p.m., but each week in the Baseline is test. Every team has a winning non-league record. Etiwanda (9-2), Los Osos (11-4), Upland (10-5) and Alta Loma (8-6) easily make this one of the tougher leagues in the Southern Section top to bottom. Glendora probably still needs a healthy Nick Colletta, who averaged 19 points in just five games last year but sat out most of it with back issues. But in any case, Tartans coach Mike LeDuc always gets the most out of what he has, and this year should be no different.

It’s official 2012 does not have an All Area Team for football. Christmas was sad looking at the paper with no athletes faces in it.

Glendora will finish 5th in the Baseline, ahead of only Alta Loma

Without Colletta I agree that 5th seems about right. With him it gets murky. They won’t beat Etiwanda and will have trouble with Rancho. I’d say third.

Even with Colletta, they finish a distant 5th. Maybe 4th if they’re lucky. Baseline is way too good this year.
