Bishop Amat’s 2013 football schedule includes home game vs. Santa Margarita and at Rancho Cucamonga

Fred’s thoughts: Two best non-league games are home against Santa Margarita to open the season and at Rancho Cucamonga, where Amat hopes to do what Charter Oak couldn’t do, which is beat the Cougars. Amat also gets Chino Hills and Charter Oak again, only this time it’s as Kifer. The Serra could be awfully difficult when you start at Notre Dame followed by Alemany at home. In any case it is what it is, not the toughest schedule put together, but no gimmies on it either.

Bishop Amat 2013 Football Schedule
Aug. 30 vs. SANTA MARGARITA, 7 p.m.
Sept. 6 vs. CHINO HILLS, 7 P.M.
Sept. 13 Rancho Cucamonga at Los Osos, 7 p.m.
Sept. 20 vs. CHARTER OAK, 7 p.m.
Sept. 27 at ST. PAUL, 7 p.m.
Oct. 4 at Culver City, 7 p.m.
Oct. 11 at Notre Dame, 7 p.m.
Oct. 25 vs. ALEMANY, 7 p.m.
Nov. 21 at Crespi, 7 p.m.
Nov. 8 vs. LOYOLA, 7 p.m.

how is this not the best, toughest non-league schedule ever in the Fish Bowl? what school, ever, had the stones to challenge their team like this?

    • Not So Fast My Friend

De La Salle. Centennial. Long Beach Poly. Mater Dei. Servite…

      Do I need to continue?

Those teams are not from the fish bowl.

        • Not So Fast My Friend

          What constitutes the fish bowl?”

          • SGV_FOOTBALL

The fish bowl around our blogs is know as the SGV.

          • Not So Fast My Friend

            lol. ok. lol

  • Not Since 1995

    Heh…Heh! Heh…Heh! Heh…Heh!

    This sh*t is too funny…!

Bishop Nomas is going to end up with a 2 and 8 record and will be the embarrassment of the San Gabriel Valley…!

Did you see these kids at the football banquet…? They don’t have one kid that is over 6 ft. tall. They are actually shrinking as the years go by…! These 2013 guys are gonna be smaller than the 2012 team…! The offensive linemen look like that number 36 kid Robledo’s picture. By the way, when is #36 graduating…? I’ve seen him around for like 5 years…!

When is the division realignment, again…? This bird is cooked…! WESTERN DIVISION make room for the Bishop Nomas Lanceritos…! Here they come…

    Not in 2013 either…

The years go by and as you and I get older, the only thing that’s certain is that your still an idiot

  • Not Since 1995

    Fred J

When are you gonna post the South Central Covina HS schedule…?

    • Colt74

I KNOW the reason you ask is because you want to be sure to keep your calendar open for the nights we play. And we again THANK YOU for your continued support of our football program! But, it seems we are in a Catch- 22 here. We have not finalized our schedule yet because we were waiting to see what nights La Migra would be out of the area so you could attend.

  • Not Since 1995

    Hey Fred J –

Why is it that the guy in the wheel chair has better looking shoes than the Lanceritos playing football…? This is a serious question, damm it! Check it out and get back to us. We the people of the SGV demand answers…

    • Hey not. I played football with that guy in the wheelchair. He was/is one of the hardest hitting/living linebackers I have ever seen. Any time you want to test your vigor contact me and I will set up a 1 on 1 meeting. Man up and let the amat boys shine without haters such as you, or step on the field and see how you measure up

      • D’animal

And somebody said I could not call this guy an Idiot. That coach could still take him out.

  • scotty bore as

not since just went over the line! ragging on a guy in a wheelchair shoes….who just happens to be a long time asst. coach…..time to put not since out of his misery, that is ,if you guys have any standards, any stones……

Nice schedule. I know that many people will look at this schedule and think that Amat will be lucky to go 3-3 in the preseason, but keep in mind that SM is losing about 8-9 D1 recruits to graduation this year including their all everything QB that made them the team top team in the Pac-5 while he was healthy. Same thing goes for Rancho and Chino Hills with only CO returning what could be a very good group of players. My prediction is that Amat goes 5-1 or 6-0 in the preseason.

  • Not So Fast My Friend

I wonder if that Amat vs Chino Hills game will be as exciting as the last one? I’m going to add that to my calendar.

If Amat gets past SM they they will be 6-0 entering league.

  • jcaz

This is a very entertaining schedule for sure. But as many bloggers pointed out, Amats opponents are going to be much weaker this year than the last. But thats high school ball for you, because like I told Margarita Bill last year, teams have up and down cycles and even though you team may have a good year, there’s always a down cycle coming your way unless you got something in the bank.
Speaking of that, wasn’t everybody in here talking about Amats freshman team last year ? Maybe Amat has the best over all team coming into the Serria next year, and given the fact that we have so many important games at home, it SEEMS to imply that this is going to be a good regular season for the Lancers

    • fb101

Yes, Amat’s Frosh team went un-defeated in League and was VERY talented. 15-16 frosh were called up for Varsity practice for the playoffs, most in a LONG time.

Mix in those frosh with the the 2014/2015 classes and you have some serious talent. Talented enough to win it all, probably not, but that is WHY they play the games. By the time league play starts, those sophs will be veterans and battle tested.

3 of the toughest non-league games are at home, which is good.
