Already thinking Spring Baseball .. Who’s No. 1 and the top conders? Bonita, Nogales, Bishop Amat, Glendora, Damien, South Hills and Northview a few to consider

Don’t sleep on Nogales, I’m seriously considering starting the Nobles No. 1. Am I crazy? Maybe I’m just an old fashioned John Romano fan.

    Agree with you on Nogales being a top team . They have key players back . Both sophomores who started as freshman will be improved . amat returns the whole starting line up And a good pitching staff with experience . Bonita with those transfers . South hills with one of the valleys best in Adrian dehorta , plus the power hitting of David dennison .a big question mark is replacing cj saylor at catcher.

    Replacing cj saylor isn’t going to be too hard. He was at best ok defensive catcher and offensively he proved nothing.

      If he was just ok why is he projected to be all conference in his position at San Diego state and conference freshmen player of the year .

    Fred if you find Sporting News MLB Preview baseball preview with Trout/Kemp on cover and go to the back of the magazine, their is a high school page, and the Damien Spartans are ranked #27 in nation for 2013 Pre-Season nation rankings. This team will be very talented, but young. Grant Hockin-Jon Olsen two SP UCLA-commits may be the best 1-2 young punch in Southern California. If the bats can come alive look out Sierra League. This could help with Damien in the Area Rankings.

    Amats league is going to be tough this year . With the addition of Serra and cathedral . Both teams have some future D 1 picks . Cathedral will probably win league in 2014 with the talent they have from the sophomore and junior class . The junior class have 3 players that started as freshmen and the soohmore class had 4 players start as freshmen . Sophmore Willie Aguilar was team USAs panam games most valuable player and led the games with most home runs . Sophmore Bryan Duenas was a pitcher and first basemen on team .
