Walnut 8, Barstow 1: Walnut’s Catrina Gonzalez scored three goals and Marissa Lara scored twice in the Mustangs’ easy Division 3 first-round victory over Barstow. The Mustangs led 6-0 at half, also getting goals from Isabel Garay, Cassie Duran and Jolissa Avila. The Mustangs will face St. Joseph, a 4-0 winner over La Reina, in the second round.

Bishop Amat 2, Oak Park 0: Amat striker Katie Zamora scored both goals, notching one early in the 10th minute, and finishing Oak Park off in the 74th minute. It was a physical game on both sides with Amat getting most of the scoring opportunities. Amat is hoping to advance to a D-3 title game for the third straight year, having won it all in 2011 and runner up in 2012
