Damien 3, Tesoro 1: After falling behind in the first minute on a bang-bang play in front of the goal, Damien’s Ben Jimenez got the Spartans back in it with a goal in the 30th minute, leveling the action 1-1 at half. Jimenez wasn’t done, he would finish with hat trick after scoring in the 43rd and 60th minute, plus he nearly added a fourth on a spectacular bicycle kick attempt. We talked to him afterward as the Sierra League Spartans (15-3-3) advanced to the second round of the Division 1 playoffs
