      On second thought – POY

Nicki Sprague – She has been a dominant player in the SGV during her 4 year career.

      The numbers:

      freshman .418BA, 41 hits

      sophomore .465BA, 40 hits

      junior .513BA, 40 hits

      senior .557BA, 54 hits

175 career hits, I don’t recall anyone doing that. She is also an excellent outfielder/infielder.

  • SGV Scout

POY Alexis Gonzalez Bishop Amat. Although Sprague has had a very nice High School career, Alexis Gonzalez has been one of the catalyst in the SGV with helping her team reach there total wins over the past four years. The question is who would a pitcher not want to face with the game on the line, survey says Alexis Gonzalez. Regardless both players have have very nice run for the past four seasons just one of them has lead in RBI’s and Home runs. POY Alexis Gonzalez

    • Softball Guru

I must have missed that survey. haha
      Let’s look at numbers instead:

      .557 BA, 37 R, 54 H, 33 RBI, 18 Doubles, 1 Triple, 5 HR, .918 SLG

      .532 BA, 27 R, 42 H, 34 RBI, 12 Doubles, 1 Triple, 6 HR, .937 SLG

Also, Nikki has been All-CIF 3 times.

  • A Game

BA barely beat a wildcard team in the first round of D3 CIF and didn’t survive the second round. But we are suppose believe they have the best players in the valley?? Can’t use the Sierra league as an excuse this year.

  • ie baller

reading a few of the comments below, some going with career numbers. that’s nice to look back on and say she had a great career, but it’s about what they did this season.
