Bonita softball coach Ken Carlson has resigned

Bonita softball coach Ken Carlson has resigned after five winning seasons and one of the best coaching records in the San Gabriel Valley during his tenure. Carlson was 109-31-2 since taking over in 2009, which included three league titles, two second-places finishes and a CIF-SS semifinal appearance. When Carlson took over the program, the Bearcats were 11-14 the year prior in 2008.

Good riddance….don’t let the door hit you in the……..on the way out.

    • FredJ

Guess five winning seasons, three league titles and two second place finishes aren’t good enough for some. You people continue to amaze me.

      • Steve Ramirez

Sounds like a typical response from a high school parent, who can’t see the overall, which is arguably one of the better 5-year periods in the programs history.

        • hi5

fact: did Fred contact the district or school for a comment fact noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
          fact: why pillow talkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • hi5

Fred this news has been out for a week figures you so late to the ball game? How did we know you would put resigned lmao…fricken home coookin hiden from the real story give me a break. from what I am Hearing something big a brewing. Dig a little deeper maybe you will find an IRS type story this fool couldn’t win the big game even after he was given a stacked team with transfers and all. come on man see it for what it is an also ran no juice can anyone say cover uppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp somebody call the LA times and put out a real article.

    • FredJ

Hilarious, why don’t you call the L.A. Times, nobody’s interested in your parent drama, the bickering that goes on behind the scenes, what goes on in travel ball or accusations of coaches playing favorites. The fact some of you would come on here anonymously and write the things you’ve written speaks volumes of your own character, pettiness, bitterness and a lot of other adjectives I can think of and frankly, it’s a big reason so many coaches don’t want to be involved in high school coaching anymore.

As far as Bonita having stacked teams, I can assure you from covering the team the past five years they NEVER had a stacked team. They had good teams, not great teams. St. Lucy’s and Chino Hills had the closest thing to stacked teams last year. Bishop Amat had a stacked team for its division this year, and guess what, they lost in the second round. It happens. And guess what, it’s not just the coaches fault or the players fault when you lose, it’s a combination of both. It always is. When you win, it’s because of both too. Haven’t you figured that out by now.

Bonita won what you expected them to win over the years. Could they have finished better some seasons? Perhaps. But they could have done worse too.

In Ken’s first season they finished second in the Miramonte to a solid Lost Altos team that boasted pitcher Dianne Lynn Patterson and Courtney Gano. I thought it was a great season. Bonita burst onto the scene after going 11-14 the year before and has been a consistent winner every year since.

Ken’s second year and Chloe Wurst’s senior year was his best team and they advanced to the CIF semifinals, losing to Ayala and one of the best pitchers in the Southland who is now at UCLA.

Ken’s third year he had his best collection of field players with Gano transferring in, but also a freshman pitcher who was good, but not dominant yet. They could have done better in the playoffs, but as Amat found out, sometimes it just doesn’t happen.

Bonita’s past two years were good teams, good enough to win the Hacienda and go undefeated in league this past year, but nowhere near having enough total talent to win or advance very far in Division 2.

I always thought Bonita was talented, but when it moved to Division 2, it found itself against teams with far more talent. That’s just the way it is and if you can’t accept it, good luck trying to win your national title in college,

What always impressed me at Bonita, though, was the players over the year who I talked to and dealt with while all this was going on. They couldn’t of been more approachable, humble, first-class and fun to deal with. I always got the impression they just wanted to play and be nowhere near the drama. I wish them all well because they were super girls and for the ones moving on to college, good luck, it was an absolute pleasure covering you.

Fred while stevo is way to far gone their is however still hope for you reporters are only lucky enough to have so many chances in life to land that one story that people will remember. Need I say water gate Benghazi the dirty little secrets are what makes and breaks. The pillow talk is killing us grow some hair and put something out there that sticks.

First off, silly people to make statements that try to create stories . Fact: Ken Resigned FACT: the secrets are hidden within the parent(s) FACT: Stacked-definition: Occurs when only one team (counter-terrorist or terrorist)has all the good players. Carlsons Contract was not renewed. He was on thin ice last year. All his bs caught up with him he’s gone and he knew this months ago. Verify the true facts with the Superintendent of BUSD.

    • hi5

His contract was not renewed sure sounds like a tendered resignation to me lmaooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Parentsthatdocare

The next drama will be the Baseball program trading field time for hitting time at the local batting cage.. Go Bohi….. Someone take pictures ….

  • Parentsthatdocare

Some people really need to let go! A very good decision was made, it could have been delivered in a better way, but nonetheless it was the best decision for the team. Hope the ex-president of the ASA doesnt end up with the job? Daddy Ball all over again.

  • 5years too late

5 winning seasons? Haha! He hand picks these weak tournaments to pat his win record for years and the first year he picks a tougher tournament he ends up with a loosing record in the tournament but chooses not to post. Cut the phoniness and lies. Keep it real. How bout the 4 outta 5 years in CIF? Couldn’t get past 2nd round other than the year he had strong seniors and a strong freshman class. I agree with hi5, man can’t win the big games.

  • Parentsthatdocare

Wins are wins you idiot… Sounds like Steve and Brian needs to find something new to do. He is gone and our girls will have to pick up the pieces. Good luck APU.

  • 5years too late

Fred….The truth shall set you free. But I know… Bonita parents can’t handle it. For those that want to know the truth, call the superintendent.

    • BONITAFACTS

I’m sure the superintendent will tell you how some parents portray themselves at games and were no longer able to come to any games. FACT

  • Parentsthatdocare

The district office cannot comment on this? What kind of idiot are you? Please leave our program alone now. You’ve done enough! Cry baby.

    • 5years too late

Do you really think those two parents who you mentioned are the only ones who know the truth? No crying here. I’m celebrating. Who’s the idiot now? Hope we have a better coach next year.

  • Parentsthatdocare

What truth? Because we all no about what Steve Costa been talking about with his band of idiots.. Move along now high school is over for you. Let APU have fun now… And as long as the coach is not the ex- ASA president, we will be fine… Thank you Coach Ken! So long senior parents.

  • Dr. Jekyll

Fred, you couldn’t pay me enough to coach high school sports, especially Softball or Baseball. Having to deal with these crazy a** travel ball parents would eventually lead to me being arrested for choking out someones idiot father.

  • Do the right thing

So I get a phone call to say my name was mentioned here. You Bonita parents are amazing. You all seem to know so much about everything. You love to hide behind the blogs and make ridiculous comments. The majority of you parents had negitive things to say about the coach. You love to pull people aside to complain about him and about playing time, how your kid is better than another blah..blah..blah. I defended the coach when he was right. Unfortunately for the coach he crossed the line with some players. You parents witnessed it and talked about how it was wrong and when it was time to step up and show up to the faculty meeting to discuss your issues you were nowhere to be found. For those that were there and heard the evidence, shame on you for turning the other cheek. I guess your kids playing time is more important than doing the right thing. If that was any of your kids that were treated that way you would have taken it to Barack Obama. I’ve never seen so many “I”s in team until I came to Bonita. I supported the coaches and team in more ways than you’ll ever know. But the coach knows. It wasn’t done for recognition like some of you did it was done for the girls. The drama with the coach and parents was there since he arrived in 09 Read the archives. To the parents who’s kids were done wrong: way to not allow local politics get in the way and pursue justice to do what’s right for your kid. If the issue was with some parents that are gone, why resign now? Next year should be kumbaya. There must be more to the story. Good Luck to the girls next year who ever your coach may be. Hope you have a winning season and drama free. Regardless of what you think, leave me out of this drama and let me be. Its over. Move on.

    • David Trujillo

Amen, I agree a lot of parents did what ever it took for their dd’s playing time by ulterior motive instead of what was best for the team at the time, I also know Steve contributed more to Bonita HS & LV ASA than most folks would in a lifetime to any cause, He never asked for recognition or ever had an ulterior motive, He did it just to support his kid and because he has the means he gets talked about negatively, I wish I had the mean to do the same personally, I am also taken on how many people can’t understand that simple concept. It is also assumed that if someone speaks their mind they are a bad person aka “The Troublemaker” (God forbid you rock the boat), It sure was convenient when most people didn’t have the balls to speak their minds, they were able to go to Steve and count on him for support, Because he took the time to listen to what they had to say and would advise them of the bigger picture of what was best for the team, Plain and simple. He kept it open and direct, People tend to have a problem with this, Don’t know why, I guess they’d rather keep things to themselves and be miserable. Yes he had his opinions, But so do you and I. I also know people who eves dropped and ran with this misinformation usually caused more harm than good, Meanwhile while complaining about the coach to others in the background until their dd played, Then all was right in the world. Some people are just chickensh$# is basically what it comes down to, Those are the worse types of people, In my opinion. Again, just my opinion and as you know, opinions are like……nevermind. In the meantime enjoy life, move forward and try to take certain things with a grain of salt. I know I will. In vino veritas.

  • Mrsknowitall

High school sports would be better off if the parents just stayed at home. Let’s face it, neither the kids nor the coaches want them hovering over every practice and game. These helicopter parents have NO CLUE what they are talking about. 98% of them have never even played the sport, non the less coached it. The only thrill these parents get is by gossiping on this website and spitting out so called “facts”. Ken is a great coach and leader. People wonder why it is rare to find a high school coach who knows what they are talking about. This is why!! High school parents are irrational and impossible to deal with. You parents need to get a life and let your kids live their own. Open your eyes, your kid sucks. Just shut your mouth and stay at home.

  • Parentsthatdocare

Your name was mentioned because you have been the cause of so much unhappiness. As far back as ASA, when you were ran out of that.. La Verne would be so much better with out Steve Costa in this town..

    • Do the right thing

Parents that do care Why don’t you comeout and stop hiding behind a screen name? You love to come out and throw peoples names out but are too Your facts are wrong and misleading. Nobody

    • My final comment

Read new and final comment from Do the right thing

  • Parentsthatdocare

The coach finally made some tough decisions that certainly proved to be the correct decision and of coarse the parents involved went crying. Cry babies.

  • My final comment

Parents that do care- You love to throw other peoples names. Why don’t you come out and give your real name? Oh yeah that’s right. That’s how you’ve done all season. You talk in the stands about the coaches, the players, the families and attack each other like vultures but when you have a chance to speak your mind where it counts, you went and hid just like you do on the blog. You point the finger at others, and deny saying anything so that you don’t jeopardize your kid’s playing time. If that doesn’t work, you bake cookies, buy pizza, buy coffee or whatever it takes to get playing time. Instead of teaching your kid to work hard to earn her spot. Or you think you need to be on the entitlement program because your kid is older or whatever. Yet, you can’t stand daddy ball right? Now you bring the ASA ex-president into this? You are no different. Get your facts right. You talk about ASA running me out? Oh yeah, I’m sorry for trying to do the right thing again by exposing the daddy ball and cover up by the board members who stole over 60k dollars from the kids and families in this community. But as long as your kid made the all stars, you overlooked the crookedness that went on. I guess those are the types of people whom you’d want in the community instead. Now I understand why you parents support the Bonita staff, coach and faculty to keep the cover up. He crossed the line. You heard the tape and saw the evidence but as long as it benefited your kid, you looked the other way once again. Obviously, the parents whos kids were done wrong broke outside the Bonita community and outsiders saw the true facts and acted on it. If you use my name one more time or attack my character again, You will be hearing from my attorney. Let it go. Move on and let justice take it’s course. Again, good luck to Bonita Softball. There is still some talented kids left and great parents.

  • FredJ

Time to relax, move on and start the next chapter.

    • Steve Ramirez

Fred is right…time to do as The Lord said, and turn the other cheek.

  • Parentsthatdocare

Funny, Steve we suggested to coach to hire an attorney to stop all of your slanderish comment you made towards him and the other coaches on the staff and some truth comes out about you and you want to run to an attorney. And as far as the tape you refer to we all listen to it, there was nothing on there that we haven’t heard before, especially from other coaches within the Bonita staff or even from your mouth. Maybe this is what you need? A taste of your own medicine. Beside it won’t belong. Until you are attacking the baseball coach. Boy, I’ll bet he can’t wait?

  • David Trujillo

i suggest you do the same, considering your tact in dealing with this past situation, The program does not need parents nor coaches that “care” in manner in which you display yourself. I suggest therapy or anger management, Better yet have you taken your meds today?

  • BONITAFACTS

I’ll leave this thread with this… I think EVERYONE has forgot one thing. All of this name calling, accusations, dirty laundry exposure, and blaming has had the worst effect on thee girls. All of you are adults and should learn from it and move on. There is nothing that can fix it now, it’s been said and done so just STOP. I am sure each person mentioned has done some great things and some things they aren’t to proud of. What has bothered me most is knowing that these girls were stripped of some great moments because of everyone’s “duty as parents.” Don’t say that it was all because of the coach because I have personally seen these girls ask for nothing more but for their parents to just let them play ball. That’s all they cared about until they were fed what adults feed them. I’m not saying that I have all the information because I don’t, but if I wanted to it wouldn’t be too hard all you have to do is sit in the stands and listen, instead of cheering on the girls you hear, “why this or it’s about time “. Have you all not learned that right or wrong is merely how one interprets it ? I read this blog and its amazing how most of it has nothing to do with this year, and that’s been Bonita’s biggest problem is that they could never be focused on the now, it was always trying to bring up the past when it suited whomever. As far as the coach he’s gone, everyone got what they wanted I hope who ever comes in next will be prepared to deal with what has been going on because it seems like adults just can’t let go.

  • Lupe

I guess this all confirms what people have known for years about a TON of Bonita parents, they are bat shiate crazy!.

  • Parentsthatdocare

Well said Bonitafacts. And your correct in stating “those parents got what they wanted”. The coach is gone. As for us parents left behind, we will work on what we think should happen next, the superintendent needs to go! If us parents have this much control, then this should be and get done just as it was done with coach. Happy Fathers day to all of the dads out their, including the ones we don’t agree with.

    • Lupe

I hope this is sarcasm! If not , You just proved my point.

  • Parentsthatdocare

Steve, Parentsthatdocareis not one person, it’s a group of people that won’t stop until you leave this town… Getted! Your not wanted anymore.

  • Karma

Just fyi Ken was texting “the Whitt girl” immediately to come back. It spread like wild fire and Podley along with Admin asked her to go back to the team this all before 8AM Monday morning. It was Whitts decision to not go back for one reason. I see Whitt often she’s a good kid and has moved on. Be respectful and let it go.

  • Aaron

What is going on here? Say what you will about me being a honk and having strong opinions, but cmon, Ken’s gone. And whoever says Rapkin has to go has no idea what it was like as a student under Otto and his momentary predecessor,

  • Parentsthatdocare

Aaron, please share then if you have history on Rapkin? Cause clearly if his mission was to fire coach Carlson for a couple choice words that was is rumored
that his daughter recorded, well then he really needs to spend more time going to other Bonita sports events, Bonita has a couple coaches who really uses fowl language on their side lines. And Rapkin is to be a fair man, then let’s be fair across the board. Because clearly at this point, it is rumored that he had to force some sort of action or he was going to lose his job. This is the rumor being spread around by the very parent that was crying and the very parent who recruited Steve to force the witch hunt. Clearly the mission that the people who support our program put this email address togethor to fight for our rights to have a program that deserve to our coach back and furthermore the same rights as the Boys baseball team, clearly if coach doesn’t return, we will ask him to head up a title nine lawsuit against the School and the school district as well as the city. Our girls play in a crappy park that is never maintained by the district or city and our players have to use the restrooms at the pool for god sakes, where at a couple times coach Carlson ran off a couple strange people hanging out near the rest room and on one occasion he ran a young man out that was in the girls restroom! Oh but wait, this is the very coach that did wrong to the Whitt girl and nothing wrong to the costa girl? In addition , the boys got new field dirt and the out field taken care of? In fact the administration never took any interest in the fields until they were made aware of that Mr. Rapkin was going to be visiting some games. Shame on all of you. Steve Costa had no right to be involved, nothing was ever said or done to his kid, she played every game in her high school career, again this man needs to leave our town. And as for the Whitts, wake up and really realize that your daughter clearly was the cancer that was in our daughters team. Smart move coach! Just so sorry that your right decision cost all of us so much. Our movement is put into place and will not stop until we have our justice.

    • BONITAFACTS

This is probably the closest to what I know to be the truth . I don’t think outsiders realize what exactly happened when 2 of Bonita’s players cut their seasons short. It all began with a player back talking the umpire. But where were her parents to reprimand her ? She was asked time and time again to follow the rules but insisted on fighting it, even after the umpire warned her. She became upset and gave an attitude when there is nothing the coaches could do about the rules. So like I’ve said over and over again. People are clueless about the facts. So rather than circling around the truth I thought I’d shed some light. However I am curious to know who recruited costa to do the dirty work. Who knows maybe someone will end all of the gossiping and start speaking specific facts.

      • Karma

Your truth is off. Umpires have no business touching or trying to grab at something on a catcher or any other player for that matter as what happened there. Why are you few still continuing to talk about this? If Ken resigned as Fred blogged here whats the problem? Let it go just like Ken was.

        • BONITAFACTS

Onceagain you prove my point. You only thinkyou knowwhatyou were told. I can assure you the umpire did not toichor grab at anything. He verbally warned this girl twice. If that was her excuse for her unexcusable behavior towards an officofficial then perhaps someoneshould have beenthereto see it with their own eyes.

          • Specific Facts

To set the record straight, the situation did not BEGIN with the player talking back to the umpire. I was not at the game so I won’t comment on that but what I will say is that this began before last year’s season with Bonita’s starting pitcher and starting catcher quitting the coach Carlson’s travel ball team. That wasn’t taken well by coach Carlson and unfortunately, his bitterness carried over into his high school team which led to a lot of unnecessary comments and actions towards those two players. In travel ball, a player can leave anytime but in high school, you are stuck with the coach. Those girls dealt with that situation for over a year and it finally came to a head at that said game. Those are the facts. As far as who recruited Costa, it was the coach himself who shared his bitterness about the players with him. Costa disagreed with the coach feeling he was crossing the line. Costa shared the information over a year ago with the Bonita VP and nothing was done. The parents asked for Costa to come in and show support after the girls were no longer on the team. The bottom line is the parents of the two girls had plenty of their own information to pursue the matter which let to Carlson’s resignation/termination. I’t s a shame that this has gotten out of hand for this community and the remaining players. People make a lot of comments based on assumptions and have taken personal attacks waaay to far. Hopefully the new coach will not be affiliated with travel ball so there could be no conflict.

  • Jerry McGuire

I believe Bonita Softball and Coach Ken will be just fine. Try to support the new coach that comes in and work hard towards next year. Sometimes change is needed to re-fresh a program. Sounds like Bonita needed that regardless of the mistakes any parent, player, school, district or coach made.
    Good Luck

  • Karma

@Parentsthatdocare show your identity and show some class if you want to call out the Whitt Family and mention their daughter I am positive they would be happy to meet with you. You can’t really be misguided enough to believe there is one audio rant on file of Ken. By the way was taped by a Senior you graduated 2 years ago. There are several inappropiate texts by Ken to many players , letters and emails sent by Ken to travelball coaches and college coaches. These issues have been ongoing issues that have finally caught up to him. This is not about 1 year of misconduct on Kens part. There is so much more that was going on and if you keep getting kicked you are going to kick back. How much

    • Karma

more should go on about this? In my opinion the Whitts showed class and did not bring out emails and conversations about other players and parents he made negative and out of line comments about. After seeing them and listening to VM made by Ken I can tell you I do not believe too many of his players were left out. As I go down the roster I can’t see one that wasn’t named. I think its wise to have all the facts before you go knocking down a young lady. Again talk to her parents in person you wont catch them on here feeling the need to comment . Its over. Its just not over for Ken. Stay tuned.

      • FredJ

Whatever happened to coaches coach and parents parent? At the end of the day this is just softball. Scholarships are earned in travel ball, high school should be about fun and playing with your classmates, that’s it. All this is other stuff is needless drama.

And BTW, I’ve already had to delete some comments. This is a place to voice your concerns and opinions, but there is no need for personal attacks. You’re all adults, you should know how to have dialogue without making it personal.

  • McEnglish

My eyes are hurting from reading some of your rants, I believe it’s English you are using. It is no wonder you folks are having problems, probably a sad reflection on the IQ level.

    • Lupe

Are you kidding me? This guy is all knowing, how and who should run the program. Who should be Superintendent….and most of all, who should and should not be in LaVerne….CRAZY!

      • McEnglish

Add lack of reading comprehension to the list.

  • Parentsthatdocare

Karma / Steve and his friends: you really need to use some commen sense when writing on a blog.. Please move on and move out of this town. Your not wanted anymore..

    • Karma

Thats it? Okay hope you are finally done here.

  • Parentsthatdocare

Thank you Jerry McGuire, that’s exactly what this group will do.. Thank you Coach Ken for your time and patient you put into this program and our girls. We will focus our energy on moving forward and thank God it’s without Steve Costa and his group of friends.

  • Parentsthatdocare

We are done here, but not done with our cause. We have started our network with some baseball parents to warn them of what’s coming.

  • McEnglish

Tell us BHS parents, which colleges have offered full-ride softball scholarships to your daughters? Reading your posts gives me the indication that they are awesome players and will be playing at DI schools of their choice. Please tell.

  • Krystal Flores

I have been a BHS Softball supporter for many years now. I understand that everyone has the right to voice their opinion whether you agree or disagree with the comments made. However, as ADULTS, when you start telling a high school girl (called out by name) that she is the cancer on a team or tell families that you do not like them and will run them out of town, thats when you have crossed the line. Parents that care- whether you are 1 person or 5 people, your name does not fit your actions. If you truly were Parentsthatcare, you would not be discussing this in a public forum for all to view. Our softball program has been through enough this year, do we really need to continue to destroy it? I can only imagine that any “new” potential head coach that is even considering coaching softball at our school would take one look at these comments from “Parents whocare” and would not want to be caught up in this mess. I can only hope that our next coach (if we are lucky enough after this to get one) takes this spot because they see the potential in our program and the talented group of girls we have. We need a coach with integrity and character, we do not need a father of a player to coach or a travel ball coach that takes this opportunity to merely promote their travel ball team, use our facilities, equipment and field space. I am confident that we can turn this program around and have success in the upcoming years. The program deserves it and the girls deserve it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need to turn our focus around and make these girls our number one priority!!!!

    • SGVsbParent

Which way do you want to turn around a winning program? I completely agree changes needed to be made. I also agree that it is going to be hard to find a coach that no matter how much time, effort, or experience they bring to the BHS program, it will not be enough. The last coach turned the program into a winning one. I hope the program doesn’t run itself into the ground.

  • Wow

Just drove by Las Flores park and guess who’s there using the batting cage…wow, I guess when he resigned, he must have forgotten to turn in the keys.

    • No shame in the game

      Lmfao

    • Krystal Flores

      unbelievable!!

  • No shame in the game

    Sure it’s not

  • Time to start over

I would like to know who approved the use of a high school batting cage located in a city park to be used by the high school coach to give batting lessons for a profit?? You are basically running a business in LV , not paying for the use of the facility and not paying taxes for the money collected?? If I as a resident of LV wanted to do the same tomorrow, would the city or high school give me a key to the batting cages?? I’m just sayin!!!!!

    • No shame in the game

Where have you been? This has been ongoing for a few years now.

  • really

The city will learn about the baseball fields being used. Ken was granted permission to work with 2 bonita kids today.

  • Who cares

If you drove by or saw him, why didn’t you approach him with your concerns? Oh wait! You’d rather run home call your low life friends and talk about it and then write about on a blog? Way to set an example. All of you need to move into a trailer park together and then you can have daily blog parties..

  • Scott Scout

What a nightmare on D St. for sure. Maybe you should focus on your kid’s college path instead of putting the blame on your HS coach. Going back this season and last (the two “problem years”), according to my unofficial research, BHS has not sent a player to a DI softball program. Let’s look at what other area schools have done: Ayala has produced 6, Chino Hills 5, Bishop Amat 4, St. Lucy’s 7, South Hills 3, Charter Oak 1, Los Altos 2, Rowland 1, Covina 1, and BHS none that I know of. I may have missed other schools, sorry.
Move on, high school is only high school, bigger pond out there.

    • Wow

@scottscout:disqus well you might want to re-evaluate your research, last time I checked Liza Liddel (who just recently graduated) is planning on attending Fresno State. They are D1, am I wrong?? Also, Bree Sandoval went to Bakersfield and recently transferred to LMU, Courtney Gano to Washington, along with Chloe Wurst who is now at Cal Poly SLO after health concerns, Jackie Campa is also at SanDiego State and a member of the team. And as far as high schools “sending” kids to D1 programs, we all know that occurs in travel ball. It doesn’t matter what Division a player chooses, the divisions are only based on the number of students enrolled at that particular school. You sound stupid and like someone who like to stir the pot, so please check your recklessness out of this blog.

Didn’t know about Liddel, congratulations to her, she will do well at Fresno. Please note the timeline I am referring to, this year and last. I am well aware of the ’09, ’10 and ’11 former DI BHS players.
BHS was 109 – 31 under your former coach, I think he did pretty good given that he had teams not loaded with DI players. Good luck in search of a new coach.

There was only 1 senior last year. She chose to attend Rhodes. And as far as the record for BHS under Carlson goes….there was a very talented senior and freshman class the 09-10 year. That year’s freshman class graduated this year. The 2013 class was the major reason for the win/loss record, inspite of a coach that would text and call parents to discuss the line up and what it should be.

Ken has been THE cancer for a few years now, strong arming girls into playing on his travel team, threatening them with no playing time at BHS if they dont play, I have witnessed him say things to high school girls that should never have happened. I look forward to supporting a new coach and might even get back involved with the program to assist with fields or in any way to help now that the real problem is gone
