ALEMANY

Friday’s games and predictions
Baseline League

Etiwanda 35, Glendora 28 After winning five games by four points or less, odds starting to even out for Tartans.
Serra League
Alemany 29, Bishop Amat 26 Warriors blew a 14-point lead, then rallied from 12 down in the fourth to win. Amat can blame this on poor clock management and bad decisions.
Valle Vista League
Pomona 61, Baldwin Park 21 Goodness, is Pomona really this good. Even without 15 players because of suspensions they still rout Baldwin Park.
Covina 41, Nogales 6 Colts trying to stay in the playoff chase.
Sierra League
Chino Hills 52, Ayala 28Bet they’re still kicking themselves for that loss to Charter Oak at home.
Damien 28, Claremont 27 Spartans led 14-0 before you could blink, then had to hold on for dear life to pull it out.
Hacienda League
Diamond Ranch 30, Rowland 28 Despite 19 suspensions as the result of last week’s brawl, the Panthers had enough in reserve to squeeze it out.
Los Altos 37, Walnut 14 With a win over West Covina next can do no worse than second in Hacienda and could finish 9-1.
West Covina 26, Bonita 14 Bulldogs back in the playoff hunt and feeling good for the first time all season.
Mission Valley League
Arroyo 55, Mountain View 19The Vikings usually a tough out, but not tonight.
Rosemead 45, El Monte 0 Former coach Matt Koffler retires again after returning for one game and tossing a no-no.
Gabrielino 47, South El Monte 0 Not surprised by the result, surprised by the total domination.
Montview League
Bassett 42, Ganesha 14 Say it, the Olympians 5-0 in the Montview and move another step closer to big showdown for league title against Azusa in a couple weeks.
Duarte 20, Sierra Vista 15Falcons doing all it can to stay in playoff contention.
Workman vs. Gladstone: If you know the score, tell us, lol

I am surprised you both are taking Pomona over BP. With the suspensions and based on film I have seen, think the 4 starters out for Pomona are going to have a big impact. BP is gonna see this as an opening to stay in the hunt. I think BP wins this game.

    (Blueprint)
Force Alemany QB to pick you apart with short passes..He’s not that accurate..Majority of his TD’s come on long passes..Why? Opposing defenses make the mistake of trying to cover these WR’s one on one when game is on the line or when Alemany is playing catch up..They start off slow perhaps scoring 2 or 3 TD’s in the 1st half & then hurricane you in the 2nd half..Desean Holmes & company will beat you down the sideline.. the defense can’t be intimidated & out smarted..Don’t be afraid to take a holding penalty on a play that can beat you down the field..also for some of the smaller DB’s Amat has don’t hesitate to take a pass interference call if the game is on the Line & Alemany is trying to beat you via “Hailmary” Alemany’s WR’s are super athletic & can usually come down with the catch in a jump ball situation..Linebackers stay at home & spy…You can live all night with the QB rushing 3-4yds each time he carries..What will end the game quick is if the Linebackers are chasing the backs out of the backfield or covering the ends..this will leave the middle open & the sidelines cleared for the QB to scamper 15-25yds each time he decides to tuck it & run..Play action QB keeper will be in affect all night…This will be the determining factor..Keep him under 60yds rushing throughout the game..Anything over that & the defense will be confused & guessing all night…Alemany’s big wins this season has come via QB rushing yards..The 2 times they lost QB was forced to become a true legit passer..(didn’t happen)
Would also like to see Camargo play something else on offense besides RB (maybe tight end) line him up in different formations he will be key in the 1st half..which will eventually open up plays for other players during the second half…
Lastly…If worse comes to worse & Alemany needs a prayer answered with seconds left..you might think about putting Haynes & Camargo somewhere in the secondary playing outfield..

    • Valley Athletics

Agree . Haynes needs to be in as safety in those situations .koas tallest target isaac archer has been out last 2 games . If he is not playing , it is a good idea to line up Camargo in his spot . This game is going to come down to which Alemany and Amat team shows up . They both have had 2 bad games with turnovers . Turnovers in this game will decide it

      • Funny_Stuff_Ha_Ha

Dat be mo funy stuf. Hanes need to focuss on Ofence an mak goood decesions. The TE at BA be blokin, not tuchin da ball. Why u want CamarGo to block? Archie dont evun hav 100 yards dis seeson. Dis not be wear u want CamarGo. He need to tuch da ball.

    • Funny_Stuff_Ha_Ha

Haynes jus be need to hode on da ball. Hes 3 turnovas las weak be killing BA. Same ding happen at RancHoe. Definitly need to establish run wit CamarGo. Also need to stop playun 10 play kids an play da bess. If BA lose tonit they can play 10 play kids rest of seeson becuz seeson be over.

      • Valley Athletics

Season is not over if they lose . They lost against both alemany and crespi last 2 yrs and beat Loyola and crespi .

    • AMAT 73

All of that has some truth to it .Not to sure about jumbling up the line up , but I also like the idae of Koa in key situations as a DB much like Rio did . What it will boil down to is AMAT cannot beat itself tonight . No turnovers at all . Our 2 losses were plagued by turnovers and as I have said you cannot turn the ball over to good teams because they will capitalize on your mistakes and the extra possesions . .

      • FredJ

It’s not about Haynes as much as Amat needs to find a way to move the ball with some consistency on the ground.

        • AMAT 73

          Fred J,
I could go on and on but yes we do need to get some type of ground game . But then again if the passing game opens up either by dinks and dunks or stretching the field it could open up the run . So let’s see what the game plan is as both facets of the game open it up for the other . It’s all about Haynes having a great game with no interceptions and running just enough to keep Alemany off balance .

        • 12th man

Haynes will be key! You can live all night with short passes that are equivalent to 3yds rushing..although in the grand scheme of things you would hope that at some point in the game you can establish the run the same way Norco & Loyola did..but then again those are 2 different O”lines in itself..so i’m not sure if that will be the case tonight? Koa just needs to be a bit more precise with his decision making..It seems like he holds on to the ball a split second to long when he’s scrambling or when becomes a drop step QB..Would also like to see him throw the ball away on second down rather than taking the sack & making it 3rd & long..which has been the case for most of the year..If Amat can keep this one within 10 points heading into the 4th you might witness a spectacular finish~

          • AMAT 73

            12th,
Can’t understand someone who has seen AMAT play as much as Fred has to say” it’s not about Haynes ” ????? He is the main factor in getting the victory especially in this one . Must bring his A game and make the right decisions such as throwing the ball away when no one is open .

          • 12th man

            Agree~

          • AMAT 73

            12th,
Another key to the game is the kicking game . AMAT needs to put the ball in the end zone on all kick offs . No need to try and pin them close to the end zone . Make them go 80 hard fought yards for a score .

          • GP AKA Green Machine

Were those turnovers created by pressure or bad throws?

      • 12th man

Turnovers is huge when it comes down to pac5 play..In Alemany’s 2 losses they had 7 turnovers..My suggestion would be for Amat to punch them in the mouth right from the gate & force Alemany to play catch-up all night…This will turn their dual threat QB into a virtual passer all night (that’s their weakness)

        • GP AKA Green Machine

You have to cover those dangerous WR’s or get extreme pressure…If the WR’s are open… or the DB’s have to cover for 4-5 secs…it’s practically the same results.

  • GP AKA Green Machine

Plain and Simple BA’s Dline is going to have to come up big tonight. If the Alemany QB gets to pick and choose, it’s over. If they rough him up, and make throws hard for him, they can win. What happens on 3rd down is going to tell the tale. They can’t let the QB scramble around for big conversions. BA will also need to find their running game tonight. They have to keep Alemany off the field. They must keep their offense cold, and out of sync at Kiefer. If I had to pick, I’d take Alemany. the reason, is because Alemany has a better defense.

    Alemany 28 BA 20

    • AZTEC PRIDE

Green Machine what I want to know is, how does a team give up 77 POINTS? Wow… What has happened to La Canada and they were a decent team years back! Monrovia 77 TO ZERO??? You cant help but to feel bad for those kids out there!

      • 12th man

Will La Canada file for bullying? lol..

        • AZTEC PRIDE

Yeah they need to file for “HURT FEELINGS” LOL… Would to love to see the film on that game! Monrovia must have score on every possession, defense, kick-off return, recieving the ball after La Canda punted and I wonder how many times they did that and the list goes on.

        • GP AKA Green Machine

When you score off a dive to the fullback with the soph/frosh team, there is nothing you can do…you still have to run plays….should they take a Knee for the entire 2nd half?

      • 626

And SM/Blair score was 72-0….for a combined RHL score of 149-0. Smh.

We need a “RHL-Pacific Conference” people!!

League A: Arcadia, Burbank, Burroughs, CV, Monrovia, Muir, San Marino.

League B: Blair, Glendale, Hoover, La Canada, PHS, South Pas, Temple City.

        • GP AKA Green Machine

This is a good Idea for football only.

          • 626

Actually it would be a great idea for all sports. A conference allows for teams to be placed in “leagues” based on how they’ve done over a 2-yr. or 4-yr. cycle. Competitive teams move up or stay in the “top” league and less competitive teams move down or stay in the lower league. Every 2 or 4 yrs. coaches and AD’s vote on who moves up or down and who stays.

This is how basketball would look:

League A: Burbank, Burroughs, CV, LC, Muir, PHS, TC

League B: Arcadia, Blair, Glendale, Hoover, Monrovia, SM, SP

This is how baseball would look:

League A: Arcadia, Burbank, Burroughs, CV, Monrovia, PHS, TC

League B: Blair, Glendale, Hoover, LC, Muir, SM, SP

It really is one of the best alternatives to solve the major competitive discrepancies going on in both leagues in multiple sports. Like I said before, Monrovia is NOT leaving the RHL and that is NOT a CIF issue, it’s a “Foothill Area” issue, and ONLY Foothill Area schools can vote a team out of a league and into another.

      • GP AKA Green Machine

i feel bad for Both teams… Monrovia can’t get over the hump until we are out of this league. I don’t see the Cats Losing a league game ever again…I can’t see a team scoring more than 7-14 pts in a league game vs the cats. CIF should switch at least one team from the Pacific with Monrovia is football only, then switch them back for the other sports. There is no other solution.

        • AMAT 73

          GP,
How about San Marino . Selling them kind of short are’nt you . They have been putting up some big numbers also .

          • GP AKA Green Machine

Yeah, but they are not the same level as Monrovia…They would at least have to win a midvalley title before getting moved out of the Division. They didn’t beat South Pas by that much…Monrovia fits in the Southeast and could possibly make a run at it. SM does not fit in the South east and has no shot at winning a first round game or a Pacific league title if they were moved into that league… They don’t beat Muir, Burbank, CV, or Monrovia if in that league…

          • AMAT 73

            GP,
How can you tell really . SP is about the only team they haven’t whacked and went toe to toe with CV in their only loss . Not talking about moving them out more about you saying the Cats won’t ever lose a league game again .

          • GP AKA Green Machine

Monrovia has only lost league twice since 1996. That’s almost 20 years….They won’t lose this year, or for the next 4 years….The RHL teams are going up against the Monrovia frosh and jv players. I am not bragging nor proud of what those games have become. Besides, the Pacific is down right now. If that league was rolling…Mtown could come in 3rd place…Muir, PHS, Arcadia and the burbank schools are just shells of what they use to be…imagine the Alemany players you are going to see tonight stayed in the Pasadena- Pacific league area….Muir would probably be # 1 in the entire SGV area with the right coach. Better Hurry to Keifer to get your lucky seat LOL

          • AMAT 73

            GP,
Won’t your starters be rusty or not used to going 4 qtrs, or do you think SM will be just as easy as the rest of the RHL .

          • 626

Not sure about Muir at #1 in the SGV if the locals stayed, but they’d be damn close. There are about 10 kids starting in the Serra from Pasadena, not to mention the ones in non-Serra schools.

          • 626

SM would be dragged into the Southeast kicking and screaming. They would compete though. SM would be above an Arcadia, on par with CV, but below a Muir. Which means an average finish in league and a 1st round loss in playoffs if they made it. SM would rather stay in the Mid Valley where they have much better action.

        • 626

Yes there is….as noted below…lol. I’m telling you “RHL-Pacific Conference” is THE solution. And again, CIF can’t move a team from a league, that’s only done by the coaches, AD’s, and admins in the Area meetings (e.g. Foothill Area for RHL and Pacific.)

  • 626

No full moon tonight, so I don’t think we’ll be hearing the old joke, “I went to a WWE event, and a high school football game broke out.” Good luck to all this Friday night.

  • LA Futbol

Freddy, any guesses where Gano may resurface? Think he’d ever make his way to his old rivals at Wilson? They could use the help and his old buddy Lee Fair is there!

    • SGVSports

Interesting enough Gano was coaching at Wilson before LA.

    • Steve Patterson

After what looks to be another disappointing 5-5 season, a coach with gano’s resume would be welcomed back to La Verne but this time at Bonita. A complete change of the entire coaching staff is what the bearcats need heading into next season’s palomares league.

Breaking News: Glendora vs Etiwanda has been moved from Citrus College to Charter Oak High School do to a power outage at Citrus. Kickoff is still set for 7pm.

    • AZTEC PRIDE

I live real close around that area and hopefully the power in my refrigerator is working! There goes my Rocky Road ice cream

  • Don

Gonna go out on a limb here and call Amat the winner tonight, 27-17. Call it the Kiefer Karma: Three td’s in the first half and the D holds on to win. Go get ‘em Lancers.

    • 12th man

I applaud your confidence..but the reality is that Alemany hasn’t been held to 17points or under in nearly 3 years when they last lost a non-league game vs Dorsey 14-13 (but the game still needs to be played & we can’t go on comparative scoring) so you never know?

      • Don

Forgot that one. I thought it went back to ’09 . . . but, as you say, they still have to play it.

Coach Herrington HAS always been kind of a damn the torpedos sort. Light up the scoreboard enough and let them catch us. Bro Rick is good but Dean gets first dibs on the talent.

  • 12th man

Turnovers in any game will surely do a team in..but let’s not forget why they occur? Legitimate top teams will usually force their opponents into turning the ball over..
    1.Stripping the ball
    2.Hard hitting
    3.tight coverage
    4.jumping routes
    5.etc.
It sometimes bugs me when a team claims they lost because of turnovers & they just gave the game away…In reality no one virtually gives games away in any sport..There’s a difference between “turnovers” & “unforced turnovers”

  • AZTEC PRIDE

How about giving it up to the AZUSA AZTECS on being the FIRST TEAM in the area to accommplish this and was written from the TRIB reporter reviewing the AZUSA , LP game

The win clinched a spot in the CIF-Southern Section Northwest Division playoffs and moved the Aztecs (6-2,5-0) into first place in the Montview League race, one-half-game ahead of Bassett, which plays Ganesha tonight.

GREAT JOB COACH SCHERF! Good JOB AZTECS! Have fun everybody watching the FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!

  • AMAT 73

Good luck to all the teams of the SGV tonight for well played and injury free games
. AMAT WILL SHINE TONIGHT !!!!!!

    • GP AKA Green Machine

Well..Amat 73 playoffs or no playoffs for Amat? Honestly, do you think their local non league schedule prepared them for the Serra? SM knocked of MD tonight? Honestly I don’t think any SGV teams should play each other any more….It has not helped anyone.

      • AMAT 73

        GP,
Yes we will make the playoffs in my opinion .1-2 with Crespi and Loyola to go . With Loyola having ND and Crespi , Alemany we still have a shot if we win out . Don’t know if you were at the game but we now have a RB who looks to be cut out of the AMAT RB mold . Should make a difference in the final 2 games and I saw you were asking about our QB next season , we have one in Garcia who will do the job .

        • http://bishopamat.org/ Joe Amat

73, I have some opinions about or offensive game plan I’m biting my tongue on and may wait a week before voicing them here. Do you have anything you’d like to share? I’m thinking of the evolution from 05-07 to 08-11 and now 12-13. Thoughts?

          • AMAT 73

            JA,
Quite a few to say least . I am willing to wait and see what transpires this Friday also . With the addition of #37 in the backfield I expect to see a more balanced attack . But our staff needs to pick it up in managing the clock and choices of plays in key moments of the game to say the least . As I said in an earlier post , I am not sure the best team won Friday night but I am sure the better coaching staff did at least the better one last Friday night .

  • warrior fan

The Warriors are coming the Warriors are coming. Every year fred picks Amat to win which by now is pathetic and now you have Aram picking against the champs to “WOW” i thought Aram had more sense, i guess being in the same office your prong to catch whatever is in the air. Pasadena’s Alif Grayes connection with Pasadena’s Deshawn Holmes is deadly. But i must say amat is looking a bit better this year so if theyre able to stop the kids from Pasadena they should have a shot at winning this game.

    • 626

Warrior fan- Are you from Pasadena? If so, do you want to see the local schools return back to being powerhouses, or have you given up all hope?

      • warrior fan

Yea im from dena and would love for the talent to stay at home but we both kno thats not gone happen now that the talent is not only goin to alemany but to crespi and loyola as well

        • Not So Fast My Friend

You’re not kidding! Crespi is going to be pulling in a lot of talent. Those schools know Pasadena is talent rich. I’m with you warrior fan, I’d love to see it return, but we know it won’t.

        • 626

I feel you…I guess you’re a “can’t beat’em join’em” type. Nothing wrong with that. ‘Dena pride just isn’t what it used to be…smh.

          • warrior fan

Lol he!! Nah im not a can’t beat em join em type dude thats a coward in my book I had no choice I actually played there im dena for life though my parents decision was their decision I couldnt do nothing about it. Ill love for dena to keep the talent and destroy but im a realist its just not gone happen

          • 626

Completely understand. Sometimes you’ve just got to be a realist about certain things. But realists can also be defeatists too. I hope, for the sake of the city, there comes a day where there are less realists-defeatists and more optimists-supporters who can try to turn it around as much as possible. Too bad Pasadena can’t rally behind each other like other communities do, they’re just way to “broken” to ever come together. Very unfortunate.

          • http://bishopamat.org/ Joe Amat

626er you are all too right. Too many people have the “if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘me” philosophy…or even worse, “if you can’t beat ‘me – run away from ‘em!”

Why Amat will NEVER lobby to drop from anywhere but the highest level of play possible, (unlike others in the SGV-*cough*cough*charteroakdamien*cough*cough*) and drag others kicking and screaming into that division – often amd ultimately for their own good. Damien may eventually realize this.

Maybe Worrier Fan can leave his Pasadena roots behind long enough to study some Alemany history and why they are in the PAC 5 to begin with.

            You’re welcome.

          • 626

Do tell….why are they in the Pac-5 to begin with?

          • http://bishopamat.org/ Joe Amat

During the releaguing process the CAA was shuffling teams and Amat and Loyola (props to them too) refused to be in any league lower than the highest level. Instead, Notre Dame, St Paul and Alemany were forced to move up. After a quick drop to the Mission League, Hiring a Herrington and the commitment to recrui…errrr…expanding their typical attendance area, they are back where they belong.

(BTW 626 – good thoughts on WSGVl Releaguing. Thats how it should be done everywhere

          • warrior fan

i dont know if your referring to me as a “cant beat them join them type.” But whats there to know about “why” Alemany is in the pac5. All i know is its 2013 and Alemany is in the pac5 Serra league, where they are winning a respectful league title every year (correct me if im wrong). Now you cough at Charter oak but Charter oak actually moved up because the division they were in was a little to easy for them (might not be the actual reason) but i respect a light heavy weight taking his shot at a heavyweight title (michael vs george). now for you to say Amat wont leave the pac5, then thats on Amat it dont look good for them they are in over their heads maybe they should drop down to where they might (not guaranteed) win or at least compete. Proof is in the 21st century, Amat has probably made it past the 1st round maybe once or twice i dont know and yes Amat does have nice wins against teams from the pac5 in non-league games like SM, Servite, but when they do beat those teams those teams have terrible season (Servite 3-7 and so far SM 4-4) so it might be safe to say Amat caught them on a rebuilding year. But what i do know is since Alemany has been in the Serra League for the past 4 years now, Amat has not even won a league title let alone a 1st round playoff game (correct me if im wrong im always open to being corrected) but seriously pride comes before the fall in order for the Amat program to get back to what it was ages ago they need to start winning and the way to do that is to drop down to their level of play the pac5 is to high for them, and then maybe more kids would want to play for them, once that happen amat should be able to compete on the pac5 level.

          • http://bishopamat.org/ Joe Amat

Not really sure that CO “took a shot” or “moved up”. They were essentially in the same league, won the league, after exhausting every effort to fight it – the league moved up and got smashed. No real change, especially by choice, if we’re being honest.

Do you really, think it is “winning” if you drop down a level to get some playoff wins? We don’t. Period. There is nothing about that in my DNA that makes any sense. If a kid is starting on the Varsity should he drop to JV to be the leading rusher? Do you really think when CO starts to go deep in the Southeast Division people will think they’re “better” than when they were getting stomped by Upland in the Inland?

And here’s the Alemany history lesson I was talking about and being dragged kicking and screaming into the top division, whether you think it’s good for you or not. Usually it is. Google “PARENTS QUESTION SAFETY OF ALEMANY MOVE.”and see what you come up with. I’d link it for you, but the Blog Monster usually eats posts with links now

            Once again…you’re welcome

          • warrior fan

Thats an old link that you lancer fans love to throw in our face. Obviously those parents were wrong just like you Lancer fans that want to stay in over your heads. This is much different then a varsity kid dropping to jv. Im just saying its not a for sure thing amat would win on a lower level either there is teams that is ranked higher than amat that is on a lower level. Im just saying amat should swallow their pride and go to a respectful level of play whereas they have just as good of a chance to win like the other teams. On this level theyre on their chances are slim to non and its only going to get worst when kids decide to not want to go to amat. Dropping and making some noise against other good teams would attract players to amat alemany was in the mission league when they started attracting players. Look all im saying is if you enjoy getting beat up every year with no break in site then enjoy why not go down to where you belong build a winning rep attract student athletes and come back up and compete.

          • http://bishopamat.org/ Joe Amat

not throwing it in your face, but rather pointing out you were dragged into the top division and it turned out to be for your own good. As for us, I’d rather work on being a few points or a possession better every game in the Pac5 than going anywhere and pretending to be better because the scoreboard might fake you into believing so.

ok all im saying is i would like for Amat to become actual kings of the SGV instead of “because of the division they play in they deserve the top spot team” Amat is in over their heads. check out Lyota Machida he realized that at 205 they were to big and strong for him even though he was a former champion (like Amat) so he went down in weight to show what he is really about. IMO if Amat was to drop i believe they would be in a place whereas they can show what they are about and possibly push for a title and bring back some glory to the valley in a respected division like D3. But again there are teams such as St. Francis, Chaminade, Serra, and etc… that are high ranked teams in D3 that would probably put it on Amat. I think its just not fair for Amat to be presented as the kings of the valley because they play in a higher division then everyone in the Valley. Yes Amat has been playing the likes of CO which IMO came after CO dominate years, but what about Glendora, M-town, St. francis and all the other valley teams that is playing great football do you really think Amat deserves the nod over them because of the division their in? I know im all over the place with this and i lost myself on my point i guess what im trying to say is dropping down a division is not a bad thing when you belong down there anyway and being ranked above good teams because you play tougher competition just aint right. P4P rankings doesnt have Klitchko the best because hes in the heavy weight division it has the best fighters whos performing in their respected weight classes ranked as they perform.

            worrior,
When is Alemany going to win a PAC-5 title in your opinion . They have been here 5 years and no title , league titles are great but we all shoot for the PAC-5 crown do we not ?????? . You know most on this blog do not think that highly of the Serra as tough league . Alemany has maybe made it to the semis once ???? but who remembers who came in second . When do you envision hanging the banner in your gym . This year , next , or further in the future , remember the Serra West will be much tougher next season . With Crespi and Loyola pulling from the Pasadena area as well and Muir having a resurgence so to speak , maybe your time is running out with getting that talent .

You can say it and you can try to be witty about it, even, but the FACT is that your Lanceritos are too small, too slow, and too weak to compete with the Far Far Superior teams in the “Highest Level” – “cough, cough, choke choke…” of Southern California teams…!

I once thought that your little lancers would be better off playing in the Western Division, but I honestly don’t beliive that your chokers would be able to handle Serra or St. Francis this year…

Maybe the better division would be the Southeastern Divsion? Can you imagine your little lancers playing D7 ball? I sure can…and I even think they could be competitive…!

            Heh…heh!

            The Truth Hurts…here comes CRESPI…!

            Not In 2013…

Dude you insist on insulting me, but whatever im a homer not a defeatist and i also been training pasadena kids for years and all their parents talk about is how terrible our school systems is and how their child will not attend any school in pasadena. I never agree with them i always try to convince them to give the P.U.S.D a chance and that its actually more so based on the kid and parenting. But its not my decision to be made for other kids like it wasnt my decision to go to Alemany myself.

Not insulting you at all. In fact, I appreciate you working with the youth out there. That’s commendable. I’m really insulting the people in the “community”, because I’m insulted that they’ve given up on the community itself. Other communities don’t allow their school systems to become “terrible,” especially since they’re paying taxes to those schools and understand that the districts actually work for the parents. Why is that? And you are 100% right about it being about the kid and the parenting, couldn’t agree with you more man. Too bad all the other “Keeping-up-with-the-Jonses,” “grass-is-greener-on-the-other-side,” “bourgeoisie bandwagoners” have quit on their own city. Didn’t realize their were so many weak-minded folks in the Crown City. Good luck to the Warriors though!

Good for Brandon Roher and Etiwanda good for him….and of course we are going to hear the Glendora Mommies and Daddies going wahhh wahhh…oh gezz we had to play at CO and my daughter was all a mess………………..
    Get over it!!!!!

  • 12th man

Great game by both teams!! You can’t blame it on turnovers because both teams had plenty..If Amat wins Alemany would say they had too many turnovers..If Alemany wins Amat says they had too many turnovers lol..bottom line..I blame the penalties & play calling on Amat’s side..they had this game won!! but it’s apparent that none of the coaches read the blogs..I put out the blueprint on how you beat Alemany & it seems no one payed attention!..I said the QB would play action & run a keeper all night & if the game was on the line they would throw a hailmary & their receivers would beat you on a one on one situation for a jump ball..If Amat’s secondary produces a pass interference or a hold they replay the down & Alemany has to do it all over again…call me crazy or arrogant but at some point you have to believe what i’m preaching!

      12th,
Damn tough loss for the LANCERS Friday night . The team did all they were asked to do and played well enough to win. Defense played lights out from openning play to the end . Offense just a well and seems we have a running back in Benson #37 . This game was lost plain and simple by the coaching staff . Terrible clock managment and a lack of creativity on the play calling . Some or most of the plays run after the time outs were just lousy calls . Hat’s off to Alemany as they diud what they had to do to get the W . As far as the game plan it was there but like I said the staff failed to execute it properly . I not too sure the better team won Friday night but I am sure the better coaching staff did , at least they were on Friday night . And for your game plan all you have to do is look at Alemany’s losses to figure that plan out , I don’t think you brought anything new to the table with what you posted . It was there for many to see if you have any football knowledge , it has nothing to do with you being a football guru , we already have one of those , and one’s enough . But either way a tough loss as I said and there is still life in the Serra , although a tough road , but we’re still in it .

Amat Play calling the worst. Never should have been close. The Q.B. play just like last week didnt help. Koa is in a bad funk.

at this rate, the next two games, @ Arroyo and the last game @ home, both games will be losses, for sure next week Arroyo will blow out SEMHS, I mean if Gabrielino did a whooping on SEMHS, the next two weeks are just the same, different teams with the same result.

Coaches don’t do nothing but be spectators with confusing play calls that has the receivers and the QB doing the collective “WTF” on the field. Quite frankly Coach Ibis Aguilar WORST season as head coach. Still not the cesspool that the previous “coach” Ray Hernandez left on SEMHS, but it’s still down there.

Freddie Freddie Freddie. How can you justify Charter Oak at number 1. If you take strength of schedule and head to head into account Glendora and Bishop Amat should be ahead of CO. Glendora’s 2 loses are to teams that would be ranked at the top or near the top your rankings, week in and week out, and you know it.

@FredJRobledo:disqus- In regards to the RHL issue you all discussed on the video, tell me what you think of the alternative I discussed below…

  • Not So Fast My Friend

Funny thing, I said Glendora’s glass slipper was broken and how Etiwanda had found their groove. I got called on that, but it appears Etiwanda’s groove has turned into an all out boogie. A win is a win and a loss is a loss.

It seems week end and week out Bishop Amat find themselves in a dog fight one way or another. I’m halfway expecting “Not Since” to bring the thunder over BAs latest loss and in this case, he has reason to. Coaches can sometimes out-coach themselves and it sounds like this is what happened with BAs coaching staff against Alemany. If you have the lead and your run game is chewing up yards, why go away from it?

Chino Hills beating Ayala after spotting them 14 points should lessen the sting of losing to Charter Oak the week before. But it won’t. I read where there was some dissension on the team. Hopefully they’ve worked that out because the fingers being pointed last week in the loss to CO were not at the players.

Congrats to West Covina. I like these guys because they’re playing hard despite what could have been a season long unneccesary distraction. Still disagree with how the Noodles situation was handled, but that has nothing to do with the players.

Pomona winning big despite all of the player suspensions. True definition of next man up. That’s huge and a warning sign to everyone else.

Lastly, my Oregon Ducks are going to smash UCLA. Enuff said.
