Oak Park vs. La Puente
La Salle vs. El Segundo
North Torrance vs. Maranatha
Azusa vs. Nordoff
Oak Park vs. El Segundo
North Torrance vs. Nordoff
Oak Park vs. Nordoff
Champion: Oak Park

Explanation: Nothing like picking the chalk. Never seen Oak Park or Nordoff, but do realize that none of our locals, Maranatha, La Salle, La Puente, Azusa or Duarte are capable of winning the division. If any of our locals had a shot at reaching the semifinals, it’s probably La Salle or Azusa.

Nordhoff beats Oak Park in the rematch…

First of all I want to thank Fred, for putting up the MONTVIEW LEAGUE CHAMPIONS, AZUSA AZTECS photo in this article! I’m also going to say, job well done Coach Scherf, Coaches and the AZTECS on bringing back this title back to AZUSA! In the last six years AZUSA has won the league 5 YEARS now and that’s quite an acommplishment.
Hopefully this new division works out for the AZTECS, because you know nobody is going to beat Monrovia , or San Dimas in the Mid -Valley. Must admit though, the AZUSA vs, San Dimas game was becoming a game to watch but AZUSA couldn’t get by that last hurdle with SD. Maybe this could have been the year, but SD is just as good as years past or maybe even stronger this year. Well AZUSA is going to have to play team(S) they never played before, so that X-FACTOR plays in but will have to see what happens Friday night!
Fred and Aram has AZUSA winning but… CAL PREPS has Torrance winning Friday???

The one thing AZUSA has going for, is HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE! What also might help AZUSA is, that they played their azz’es off against a VERY DETERMINE BASSETT TEAM, at Bassett and AZUSA pulled off the win! Hopefully the AZTECS are ready to GO, after that very hard fought and emotional game! So AZUSA let’s shake that game off and think about this Friday, and NOBODY WANTS TO GO OUT IN THE FIRST ROUND!
AZTEC PRIDE will be at the game this Friday, so we can’t LOSE! lol…

I think azusa had a bad game against basset. They had more then 100 yards in penalties in the first half…and play calling was a so so…I think they could have blew out basset. TAKE ONE GAME AT A TIME AZUSA. You NEVER KNOW what can happen in the playoffs.

Blue, I want wish your little brother a great game on Friday, and tell him to keep his teammates playing smart and hungry football all the FOUR QUARTERS. Once you start playing in the playoffs, well you notice all the teams get Bigger and Faster but let him know as a team they can pull it off. Good Luck RAMIREZ, and the AZUSA FANS wish you the BEST!
        AZTEC PRIDE!

Sad to say, I won’t be attending the AzusA game at Citrus this Friday! Want to wish the AZTECS Good Luck and hope they get the ~W~. Good Job Coach Scherf, and way to bring this team back again and it’s good for the City! Also, way cool to see a team from the Montview League doing something again and playing teams from other Leagues in a CIF playoff game!Sherf, you’ve been to the playoffs several times now and I know you’ll make those necessary adjustments if need be! Good Luck, Coach Beltran, who should actually be a Head Coach by now, also Bubba, Bettle, Scherf JR. “DO THE RIGHT THING”! Winning a CIF playoff game is a step forward to get the PRIZE COLLECTION and that’s CIF TITLE! PLAY HARD AZUSA, DON’T GIVE UP ANYTHING EASY and PLAY MISTAKE FREE FOOTBALL!
