I dont know if BA will be as strong as last year but then again we will see what new players coach was able to pull in. Watch out for Claremont this year, they got some pretty good girls coming back as well as new incoming players. SD should be strong but they lost a lot of girls last year. SV will be dominant again and might make it to Semis if they stay healthy. Arroyo might get some new talent from the area but wont be as strong as last year.

I think you hit the nail on the head. It’s all about who Ruben can recruit into his program. He won a CIF title last year with a team that was probably 30% recruited. Don’t underestimate his ability to rebuild that program!

As for the boys Pomona will give BP a run for the VVL title. MV is always competitive. SV will be a team to look at closely throughout the season. DB always puts a good squad together. BP will do well but inexperience will hurt them. Boys have a lot to prove this season after having a couple of seasons of not representing the SGV to their fullest capabilities

    Games to watch…
    BA vs Sunny Hills 12/10
    BA vs SV 01/06
    Claremont vs DB 12/06
    Claremont vs LO 12/14
    SD vs Bonita 12/10
    LA vs CO 12/16
    CH vs LB Poly 12/12
just a few games that should be pretty good!

Even with a new coach WALNUT GIRLS SOCCER may be pretty good this year.
They are returning 7 starters from last years team.
1 forward – Catrina Gonzalez (1st team all league)
2 mids – Marissa Lara & Melissa Dominguez
all 4 defenders-Erin Harris (1st team all league/HM all area, possibly the best defender in the area ?) with Julie & Joanna Lizarraga and Alexis Pollerana .
adding to that mix JANAE AVILA (fully recovered from a torn acl in 2012 -started as a defender her freshman & sophomore years) . Looks like she will go back to her regular club position as forward and play up top with Catrina this year.
