Los Altos Wins: L.A. is renown as the city of Showtime. There was no better example of it than Wednesday evening, as Los Altos High School ran its fast-break offense to perfection in the CIF-Southern Section Division 5 water polo semifinals. The Conquerors defeated 2012 champions Pasadena Poly, 11-7, at Mt. San Antonio College to advance to Saturday’s championship match.

Walnut Loses: Walnut High’s water polo team has been fighting — and overcoming — adversity all season. Beating Glendale, however, was a different matter.
Manuk Piloyan and Armon Momdzhyan scored five goals apiece to lead the Dynamiters to a 16-12 win over the Mustangs in the CIF-SS Division 5 semifinals on Wednesday night at Mt. San Antonio College.
