La Serna stuns Diamond Bar: Third-seeded La Serna made sure of it, looking like the well-oiled machine that’s bidding for its third straight Southeast title game after losing the previous two, routing the host Brahmas 51-7 on Friday to advance to the semifinals next week against Burbank at Cal Hi.
San Dimas keeps on rolling: The San Dimas High football team turned on the speed against San Marino and marched into the CIF-SS Mid Valley Division semifinals with a 56-28 win over the Titans, Friday night at San Marino High.
Arroyo back in the final four: After a nine-year absence, Arroyo High School is headed back to the CIF-Southern Section semifinals. Arroyo, winning its 11th consecutive game, defeated Schurr 28-14 in the Mid-Valley Division quarterfinals Friday night at Schurr high, but not without a furious last-minute Schurr drive for a potential tying score.
Muir beats Los Altos without its quarterback: No Dejon Williams, no problem.Playing without its suspended star quarterback, the Muir High School football team turned to its defense on Friday night and stifled visiting Los Altos en route to a 27-2 victory in the second round of the CIF-Southern Section Southeast Division playoffs.
Charter Oak no match for Vista Murrieta: With a 38-point second quarter, Vista Murrieta defeated Charter Oak, 52-7, in a CIF-Southern Section Inland Division quarterfinal game on Friday night
Paraclete beats Pomona 46-23: Pomona had its best season in a decade cut short by the fourth-seeded Spirits in a Mid-Valley Division game. The Red Devils (10-2) couldn’t overcome an on-side kick to start the second half and a controversial offensive pass interference penalty later in the third quarter as the Spirits broke open a close defensive battle in the second half.
Duarte can’t keep up: Bishop Diego (10-2) built a big lead against the host Falcons to advance to the Northwest Division semifinals, 41-7. Duarte (7-5) returned a fumble for a touchdown. The Cardinals play No. 2 seed Nordhoff, a 38-20 winner over Torrance.

Shout out to Los Altos fans. Get there early. Visitors stands not large and parking an issue. Good luck Conqs. Hit hard early and often is my best advice. Let the Stangs know your in the house.

    • FredJ

Yes, I would agree, parking is limited. But the food is great, you gotta hit up their food stands.

      • Jastrab

Fred, on another note. If Damien wins it legal battle…what league would they go into? Baseline is all filled up and the are really at least a DII football school.

        • FredJ

That’s a good question and one that hasn’t been approached yet. They’re trying to win their legal battle first, then work on the league later. My guess is they would likely go to the Baseline.

          • New York

Remember the 1990′s when Damien was in the Baseline, but Rancho was in the Mt. Baldy.

          • 90′s Spartan

Much different Baseline back then. Chino, Don Lugo, Claremont, Upland, Glendora, Damien. Used to have Alta Loma and Chaffey before that. Etiwanda was in that league for one year. Not as tough as the current Baseline.

          • Jastrab

I think for most sports that would make the Baseline one of the stronger sports leagues in the area. Damien is tough in Water Polo, Swimming and Basketball and if you bring St. Lucy’s along the boys and girls sports from football through girls water polo would be tough. Can they have a six team league? Damien might find it tough in basketball with Etiwanda and Rancho, however. There would be really no weak links in sports for any of the schools.

  • New York

Great picture of Scoby’s sportsmanship above…great brownie points as well!

    • FredJ

      That’s Scoby being Scoby

      • New York

Friendly kid, loving football and people.

        • FredJ

Great for him he’s having the success he’s having. I’ve always rooted for the kid.

  • Not So Fast My Friend

Willie Nelson once wrote a song about Charter Oak. It’s called “The Party’s Over.” Sing this verse along with me.

“Turn out the lights, the party’s over.
They say that all good things must end.
Call it a night, the party’s over.”

Charter Oak, again, doesn’t have the horses Vista Murrieta does. Vista wins big.

    • FredJ

Charter Oak can score with anyone, they really can and that’s the only way they win. If they win it’s going to be 55-51 or something like that, it’s their only chance.

      • Conq ’76

I keep having flashbacks to the optimism we had a couple of seasons ago when we thought CO had a shot at Upland….I respect CO and have since the rivalries with LA a decade or so ago, but man, VM and CC play high school ball on another level….

      • GP AKA Green Machine

I don’ think VM turns it over as much a Yucaipa…. more 51- 33 VM

      • Jastrab

Fred, I am not delirious, but I have to say CO defensive line and linebackers are pretty good. I don’t know what happened against Amat (their worst game), but up close I think they can play with a lot of SoCal teams. Probably not MV or BOSCO, but they are pretty good. The one thing I don’t think they will have is a fear that they cannot compete. Big Lou will have them prepared to compete

        • AMAT 73

          Jastrab,
Depth and speed of VM is what will wear CO down . How is the second line of defense for CO if the starters need a spell and how many on D go both ways . When AMAT played CO they were a step slower then AMAT so speed will also be a factor. You don’t get faster as the season progresses , maybe smarter in seeing keys and reads and reacting quicker . But if VM is as fast as it is said , I think that plus depth will bring CO down . It will be close for a while , maybe first half but as the game wears on VM will pull away .

      • inland_1

I’d like to be as positive as you, they just might be able to score with anyone around here, but they have not seen anyone near VM level of play this year. Prevost is a beast, but he will have his hands full against Gerhart.

      • Not So Fast My Friend

Fred, I saw your reply the other day and I’ve got to hand it to you, you are the eternal optimist. And i mean that with a lot of respect. But I’ve seen Vista Murrieta play (repeatedly) and I’ve seen Charter Oak, two years in a row. There was no way the number of horses Charter Oak has equaled VMs.

So all that to say, 52-7 VM.

        “The party’s over”

I’m not sure what the teams in the Sierra or the revamped Baseline need to do to compete, but as long as Salter remains at Norco and Baiz at Rancho, that’s going to be the class of the conference (2014 Baseline league). Charter Oak is leaving the Sierra, on top, and at a good time. Starting the season 0-4, despite my ribbing, those kids have no reason to hang their heads.

  • Conq ’76

Pretty good shot of Marcos as well!

  • GP AKA Green Machine

Fred and Aram are sticking w/ Muir….and for some reason after all this…I now still think Muir is going to win. if they do, this would be the story of the week and maybe the year. The Stangs are going to have play lights out defense and special teams to win this. They may be able to mustard a kick/punt return for a TD, 1 Int Return for 7 or to set up a score…and one big play to Mason. That’s 21 pts. Can they hold Los Altos the 14-20 pts?
    Muir 21 Los Altos 20

Charter Oak 21 vs VM 42 Long Drive…close 1st qtr, down by 2 scores at halftime, down big in the 4th…long Drive home.

San Marino 28 vs SD 35- Battle for 2nd place? Yeah I think so….SD wins by a score in a gutter war

Arroyo20 vs Schurr 30- Arroyo has been riding the hype horse. Humpty Dumpty Falls off…Schurrs tough D wins it..

Clete 31 vs Pomona17 – The Spirits too big up Front…better coaching…less mistakes.

Dbar 42 La Serna 38- Dbar is the not the best team, but they are the hot team. Broadus, Brown, Noodles and Peterson vs Frankie… Dbar w/ tje shocker.

Sante Fe 31 Burbank 28- Sante Fe’s QB will win this one. I love Boobie…but 8 in the box is going to slow him down.

Corona Santiago 35 Upland 28- Upland has been barely slipping by teams…although they beat Rancho two weeks ago…they slip up here. CS is a sleeper team that can score with anyone….

Duarte 28 Bishop Diego 24- Duarte has been playing well and BD although a power will overlook the Falcons.

    • FredJ

You know why I’m sticking with Muir, because they’re at their greatest when the game is emotional or personal. That’s been my experience covering Muir teams over the years. After what happened this week, I’m sure their mindset is to rally for Day Day .. A motivated Muir team is always a scary Muir team. Plus they’re at home, which is always a huge Muir advantage.

But I’ll tell you what, Los Altos strikes me as having tough kids too. Look at Marcos in the picture, totally determined and hungry. It’s going to be a great game I’m sure.

      • GP AKA Green Machine

yeah, Los Al can’t feel sorry for or let up in this one…I agree with you all the way.

        • Conq ’76

As someone else pointed out, LA has been playing without its starting QB as well, Aram seems to be hedging a bit in his capsule of the game….

          • inland_1

La Serna hot as well, 7 straight since losing to Norco. I hope Los Altos doesn’t let their guard down thinking it’s going to be easier now. Muir is going to come out fired up, if LA can sustain the initial emotional attack, they will win.
CO might be able to score with any from the SGV, but they have not seen anyone near VM level.
Good luck to all local teams.

          • New York

Sustain the initial emotional attack…that reminds me of how Rocky came out fired up (and sloppy) against Clubber Lane in the first match following Mickey’s death. Eventually, Clubber, the better boxer at that moment, took Rocky apart.

      • Los Altos Dad

Here is an example of what I have been saying the past couple days. Los Altos is not getting the respect they deserve. I’m glad Fred and Aram are taking Muir. Fred and Aram What is it going to take for Los Altos to get some respecet? Fred and Aram I’ll tell you what, I’m so confident in Los Altos. That if they (Los Altos) don’t win I’ll buy the both of you guys 50/50 burgers.

      • Los Altos Dad

Its funny to me when sports writer’s tell everyone who they are picking to win in a game. And at the same time say something good about the the team they pick to lose in order to cover their back, incase they are wrong. For example. Fred says in his comment that he is still picking Muir to win. Then goes on to say (and here is the key word)”BUT I’ll tell you what, Los Altos…..
He says that so when in fact Los Altos does win he can say I told you they struck me as having tough kids….
To make it seem like he knows what he is talking about. I’ll put my money where my mouth is Fred and Aram. If Muir pulls it out I’ll buy the both of you 50/50 burgers.

        • FredJ

          You got it

        • New York

I think we would get along. I love calling Freddy out as well!

          • FredJ

This I know, and I love it. It’s what makes this all fun, opinions and conversation.

      • New York

I thought the reason would be that you are a total Muir homer!

    • Los Altos Dad

So when Los Altos wins. This should be the story of the week or even the year as well. Since you all still think Muir can beat Los Altos without Williams. By sticking Muir, your saying the suspension of Williams is not a factor and that they don’t need him in order to win.

      • FredJ

La Dad is buying Aram and I burgers, how nice.

        • AMAT 73

          Fred J,
And if he’s right , what are you eating, crow burgers ????

        • Los Altos Dad

I’m a man of my word. If Muir win I (Los Altos Dad ) will buy you guys burgers.

          • Here’s JOHNNY, or Little Johnn

            No Pepsi, Coke!

          • Here’s JOHNNY, or Little Johnn

I am glad someone got it…

          • OuttaYourMindTrib

Te place is actually in Chicago right?

          • Here’s JOHNNY, or Little Johnn

            Yes it is…

      • New York

Muir has the element of surprise on their side. Does Coach Ziola have any idea of what to expect tonight from Muir’s offense?

        • Conq ’76

Well, from what I have seen, Ziola makes other teams beat his game, in other words, LA looks to wear down the other team and make them adjust to what the Conq’s are doing. This strategy cuts down on the need to worry about being surprised.

      • FredJ

If there are story of the weeks upsets, it would be if Charter Oak knocks off Vista or if Diamond Bar knocks off La Serna. Those would be headline chasing upsets for sure.

        • Conq ’76

If DB beats La Serna it will be news, if CO beats VM it will be “man bites dog”…

          • New York

LOL. HUGE differences. Freddy has La Serna WAAAYYYY up on a pedestal.

          • Here’s JOHNNY, or Little Johnn

I guess DBAR is who we thought they were…

      • observantcat

Say Los Altos Dad, can we all get in on the class action burger wagon, looks like Muir not only won but Los Altos couldn’t even get an offensive score. Speed had everything to do with the letdown on the defense.

    • New York

The advantage Muir has is that Los Altos has ZERO film on whomever will be playing QB. Many players might be switched around out of necessity. What if they put a stud wide receiver at QB and run a simple dive and speed option offense?

Muir has the element of surprise on their side BIG TIME!

      • saints Fan

But don’t you think the fact there is ZERO film is also a Huge disadvantage for Muir? Whoever takes the snaps if they have not played at all is going to be just a little nervous in a CIF Quarterfinal game. I hear what your saying, and I’m sure there are athletes a plenty to move around, but I’m not sure I’d give the Advantage nod to a team implementing an entirely new offense in week 13.

        • New York

YES. The REASON for no film (missing MVP) is a huge disadvantage for Muir. So that advantage goes to Los Altos.

Muir’s advantage MUST be the element of surprise.

One can always find an advantage, as Sun Tzu would encourage.

          • TruTH

Well if the backup quarterback does start it would be David Madrid a transfer from South Pasadena H.S. He has a pretty good arm but is not very mobile. I think what made Muir unique is that Williams was able to extend the play this giving Muir more time to develop a play. Madrid will have to play a great game because Los Altos so far has done a fantastic job of putting pressure on the quarterback.

          • New York

Muir’s coach needs to quickly assess the best way to get the ball to the remaining playmakers, whether it is always through Madrid taking the snaps or some explosive wide receiver taking them directly.

          • Los Altos Dad

Muir’s qb will be mobile. He is going to be running for his life. Trying to get away from the Los Altos D-Line.

          • Here’s JOHNNY, or Little Johnn

If we could have seen the future before you made this comment would it be the same??? NOT….

          • saints Fan

Ahhh the art of war serves us all well. Sometimes, the best offense is a good defense…. Their defense may need a couple pick 6 or slow the game down. Special teams is gonna be huge and another opportunity to pick something up. Looks like Willimas wasn’t the Punt Returner or Kick Returner, so maybe something special there can put some points on the board. Defense is going to be huge, they have to keep Los Altos out of the end zone. Plain and simple. Won’t be able to win a track meet this week.

        • FredJ

Aram pointed out another problem yesterday. It seemed like Muir coach Hardy was doing anything and everything to try and get Williams reinstated. At some point you have to move on and prepare with your backup. I’m not sure if Muir used the entire week working strictly with their backup, which could hurt if they’re not prepared.

          • New York

That is too bad. Sounds like emotions are running high.

          • reality

I give the game a better than 50-50 chance of not being completed. Best hope is that it rains and rains hard to cool Muir folks down if Los Altos plays strong.

          • GP AKA Green Machine

Very Key…They can still win this game…Practice should have been about Defense, Offensive line blocking and special teams… Short passing game is the key to victory. Maybe it was… Maybe they are prepared.

        • New York

This is where coaching relationships are so important. Does Ziola have contacts at South Pasadena who would share their insights about rattling Muir’s potential backup QB? Provide game film, etc…or contacts from anyone who played against South Pas when he was there.

      • reality

The problem for Muir is never the QB. They play fast and loose all the time . Plus they intimidate with trash talk and then hard hitting. The thing with the Stangs is when they run into a team that hits them back even harder. They then get totally out of their game and concentrate on trying to save their injured macho. Personal fouls and procedure penalties soon follow. Bonita at Muir 2010 quarter final.

        • New York

As a former Muir assistant and a wily veteran, Coach Podley knew how to crack the code AND get his team to execute. It is a lot easier to talk about than to execute.

    • New York

I think Bishop Diego will block and tackle their way to victory.

      • GP AKA Green Machine

Haha…cmon….All this years and you still can’t root for Duarte…You beat them 2 out of 3 years…oop lol.

        • New York

I always cheer for the local team, but I need to be realistic with my picks.

    • Wells

      Giving prognostication a shot –

Vista will beat Charter Oak. CO is always a solid team and gets a great deal of respect on the blogs and in the Tribune, but over the past three seasons they get beaten by a team very much like Vista by at least 14 points.

San Marino vs San Dimas is interesting. I have seen San Dimas in person and their offense is interesting. They have been handling every team with ease for two months. They should get it done by ten points. This would have been a great semi final game since the winner here should easily win in the semi-final next Friday night.

Arroyo and Schurr is a battle of a seemingly strong defense and a team that has not faced a very strong opponent since week #1 vs. Los Altos.
Schurr may have a slight edge if they do not get behind early. It may be the reason why both Fred and Aram have Arroyo. I will take Schurr.

Pomona vs. Paraclete. Don’t know much about the team from the desert, but the weapons of Pomona and the home game should be enough to bring home the win.

Diamond Bar vs. La Serna — I will have to go with my Brahmas. It should be an offensive slugfest of opposing styles.

Burbank has a great offense, but it may be due to poor competition. DB or La Serna should be able to beat either of these teams next week. Burbank vs. the inconsistent Santa Fe.

Los Altos vs. Muir. Los Altos should have enough to beat the very short roster of Muir. Look for them to be up by 14 in the fourth quarter then salt it away with a plodding ground game.

    • Here’s JOHNNY, or Little Johnn

Looks like a bad week of predictions. Except the obvious. Motown don’t look past San Dimas just yet.

  • The stands

Just a thought, but I think a Los Altos vs Diamond Bar rematch for the Southeast title would be an awesome game. I know there’s still plenty of football to play, though. Good luck to all and I sincerely hope nobody sustains serious injury….or suspension.

  • SGV_FOOTBALL

    Ceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just read on Maxpreps the top 10 toughest playoff brackets in the Nation and the Pac 5 comes in at #3 and the Inland comes in at #8. These kids know this is their last year in the Inland and will be playing with a chip on their shoulder.

Just imagine the buzz around the Valley if CO can pull off the upset!!!

    • inland_1

I just read that as well, what those rankings don’t take into account is that in California, we don’t use the statewide format that Texas, Florida and the rest use. Can you imagine how the Division 1 playoff bracket would look if you threw in Folsom and De La Salle ect..

      • GP AKA Green Machine

        I like our state format….North vs South…

        • OuttaYourMindTrib

It puts our state at a disadvantage in nationwide rankings and as a result we do not get our due respect.

          • GP AKA Green Machine

            How?

          • inland_1

Easy the PAC 5 is pulling 29 teams from 5 leagues out of LA and OC only. If the teams that are eligible for the Open Division like Serra, Chaminade and throw in VM and CC with De La Salle, Folsom ect. 64 teams from around the state make up the Texas 5A D1 bracket.

  • Coach

Los Altos has brought up multi times that they have been playing without their starting QB, that obviously isn’t true. He currently can only throw short bubble screens, hand-off and run. His biggest weapon is his running game, the injury has zero impact on that, and he has been playing. I wouldn’t consider him a passing quarter even when healthy. Obviously LA is a better team with the starting quarterback healthy, but not much better. The impact of LA’s qb injury isn’t even close to the impact of Williams being in the game. The Muir offense is built around Williams Los Altos offense is built around Marcos, that is a ridicous comparsion.

  • 12th man

From what i have seen Los Altos does a pretty good job of keeping the opposing offense off the field. They sustain long 9-13 play drives mostly all running & chew up about 3-6 min each drive…The tale of this tape will be the Muir defense..Can they prevent long drives or better yet force Los Altos into field goal situations inside the red zone..I’m not too concerned about the offense or the QB play because super athletic teams usually find a way to score with different formations or play calling..The key is to get the ball into your most dangerous player & let him dictate the tempo of the game..Muir best case scenario is to turn it into a shootout..I don’t think LA has the horses too keep up for the entirety of 4 quarters..
Los Altos 2 losses resulted in their opponents scoring over 30 points..Their 2 playoff wins the opposing teams have scored 10points & 21points
Muir will need atleast 24points or better to win~

    • 626

      Excellent break down.

    • Conq ’76

Against WC in the second half, all LA did was try and jam the ball up the middle while the Spartans were literally putting 10 in the box, and as good as LA might have been, they couldn’t get the job done that way. The next week against Paramount, with their over-sized line, Ziola mixed in a few other, seldom called upon RB’s who hit some off-tackle stuff and he tried a few sweeps as well and suddenly the middle opened up a bit. I expect to see some more of the same tonight if for nothing else, than to keep Muir honest as to having to defend their perimeter.

      • Cmon

Spartans? spoken like a true old time Sierra League guy.

    • GP AKA Green Machine

Muir is must have a huge night on special teams… Covering kicks, Running back kicks, punts, blocking FG’s punts and giving their offense a short field. I do think Muir can hang for 4 qtrs, it’s just a matter of punching it in when they need to. I am not sure they are going to make 3-4 Field goals in this game. They surely can’t afford to miss PAT’s, because they will have to go for 2 later on. Los Altos is probably not interested in big plays. They just want to slowly methodically score while running out the clock. If they get up by 10 they will be in good position to make Muir pass without their QB….They will be also looking for Mishandle snaps and Hand offs with the new QB. Turnovers, if they happen will really kill Muir tonight. There will be no miracle comebacks…They will either be in the game or out.

  • GP AKA Green Machine

If it continues to rain tonight….There are going to be some parades that get ruined! Slippery balls, people falling down. I Hope it Clears up by 5 o’clock.

        ROFLMFAO

In case you’re reading this ya dingbat it’s “Husky” Football… Singular. if you are going to say plural, then you need an “s” at the end. You know, like “Huskies”. And it’s all over your site that way.

        • Here’s JOHNNY, or Little Johnn

Please leave the showboating and celebrating for after the final gun as we don’t want to lose any player to a judgement call whether it’s right or wrong .

  • 12th man

    Amat 73,
I thought we told Fred & everyone else no to sleep on Norco? lol..
Didn’t Fred pick them to win it all? SMH (Tribune! do your homework in the Inland please)

  • HH

Don’t know how Aram could have reported on the Muir/LA game, he was to busy trying to pickup on the little Muir High School girls.

  • New York

I think I was correct about Muir’s element of surprise with an unknown QB. Well done.
Also, great job for the Pacific League. Two teams in the semi-finals. The Del Rio League looks like a sham aside from La Serna.

  • New York

Do you think Snoop blogs with us? LOL. I like that little interview, other than the prediction.

  • New York

After reading the article, it seems that Charter Oak started well with a great opening drive as well as a goal line stand. There was clearly a meltdown offensively and special teams, though. VM had three non-offense touchdowns in the second quarter alone!
That’s too bad. I wonder how CO would have done with a lesser team such as Rancho or Upland.

    • patriot_dmo@yahoo.com

CO wouldn’t have done any better with the turnovers and quick kicks that sealed their fate. The only advantage in playing RC or Upland would have been getting to the game a little sooner. 2nd round curse was alive and well last night.
Those QB punts really killed them this game. WTH is up with that anyway? CO D played well, but a few missed tackles really cost them.
VM D was prepared for the one dimensional attack from CO. They doubled up on D Washington – probably to take advantage of his fumblitis, but he was not a factor. Their front 3 put continual pressure on Brown. He had his hands full getting the pass out quickly.
The better team won, but CO could have done a lot better.

      • New York

Quick kicks? Did you see Ben Rothlesberger do that yesterday? It must be Big Lou’s Pittsburgh roots!
Turnovers are killer…unless you have Tom Brady to compensate for his teammates!
It is hard to argue that Charter Oak does not belong in the Inland Division. The Inland seems like a two horse race for the championship. If Charter Oak does not belong, then why does Rancho belong?
Putting Charter Oak back into the Southeast would be too big of a step down backward. I hope they end up in the Central Division. The entire Sierra League should be put into the Central, just as the Baseline was a few years ago when Upland and Rancho won their most recent CIF titles.

  • Conq ’76

Congratulations Conq’s on a solid season! Coach Ziola should be proud of where he has brought this program from just a few, short seasons ago!

  • Los Altos Dad

What’s up Fred and Aram? You guys were right. Muir came to play and Los Altos didn’t. Muir played like they wanted it. So when do you guys want your burgers?

    • David Dad

Thanks for everything you said not like my son needed it anyways for motivation. A old wise man once told me karma is a mother×!÷# so don’t mess with it!! To everyone else that said negative comments thank you as well. Someone asked if there was film on David all you had to do is go to you tube type his name up his highlight film from last year would have came up and you would have known he can throw the rock.

      • Los Altos Dad

If David Dad is David Morales’s Dad well then congrats on the win. He played a great game. But to reply to your comment. I never made any negative comments about him. I just wanted to back up Los Altos because no one else was. I would never put the kids down or say negative things. After all they are just kids. And if in the heat of the moment I did. Well I’m sorry. Good luck the rest of the way.

        • David Dad

Yes it is me it David Madrid Dad its all good. I would like these blogs more if everyone would use there real name but then they would not be as much fun I guess.

      • Los Altos Dad

Im sorry in my comment I said your sons name was Morales. But its Madrid.

  • Los Altos Dad

That picture of the Diamond Bar player and his father must have been taken before the game. Because they had nothing to smile about when the game ended. Should’ve posted a picture of La Serna’s QB and his father.

    • Nomoredrama

Lol, is his daddy famous too? DBar had to reschedule Senior Night to last night due to having to forfeit the walnut game, the original Senior Night. That’s why Snoop was down on the field taking pics before the game. I’m sure he had a whole different kinda look on his face by the 2nd quarter!

      • Los Altos Dad

This is high school sports blog. Not TMZ. Its about the kids. So his father being famous has nothing to do with sports. I’d rather them post pictures of Tyler Brown and his famous father Ron Brown. Anyone can rap. Do you know how hard it is to make it to the NFL. And do you know how hard it is to win a Olympic gold medal. Ron Brown did both. Post pics of that famous father. And my opinion is that Tyler Brown is better then #21 anyway.

        • Nomoredrama

Well, ok… Maybe Mr. Brown is camera shy….lol!
Snoop is very involved with youth football and from what I hear is a big supporter of the DB football program, so not a big deal if a pic of him with his football playing son is posted on this high school sports blog.

  • Football

Did los altos have something to smile about? It was a picture of a proud father(snoop) with his talented son. Quit being a jerk

    • Los Altos Dad

Why didn’t they put up a picture of Frankie and his proud father as well.

      • Los Altos Dad

Hay Football you must be a snoop lion fan. Right…

    • Los Altos Dad

Ron Brown is a famous Diamond Bar father also. And his son Tyler Brown is a much better player then #21 in my opinion. And I don’t see any pics of them. So I’m not trying to be a jerk. I’m just trying to give credit where credit is do.

  • RCSports

Pomona didn’t get routed like the rest of those teams on the heading of this thread. My prediction for next season, Pomona is a very young team and will walk away with the league title. Before all those San Dimas parents come on this thread crying, please be advised that Pomona is move out of the VVL league.

Along with that prediction I’m going to predict that not only is Charter Oak going to win league next season, but win each game by an average of over 40 points per game, and will win CIF.
