Arroyo boys basketball Friday semifinals set: Montclair vs. La Canada; California vs. Wilson

lacanadahoopsSTORY: The La Canada High boys basketball team showed on Wednesday why it can be awfully dangerous when its shots are falling. The Spartans erupted at the start of the fourth quarter to turn what was a close game against Workman into a 17-point lead and ultimately a 59-48 win in the Arroyo Tournament.“We’re going to be a spurty team,” La Canada head coach Tom Hofman said. “This is one of the better-shooting teams I’ve had in a long time. We need to get more inside. But when we get hot outside, we can really shoot it.”
