The picture is of Lockett getting owned by SD and he is the League MVP???Mayorga got screwed on that one. How does the CIF MVP not get the league MVP, The answer is politics. How did the two best players on the two best teams do against each other in the championship game 1)Lockett 7-14 50% 136 Yds 1TD/1INT – 2) Mayorga 14 Carries 191 Yards 13.6 YPC 3TD. Doesn’t matter really, at the end of it all they got their rings and PHS got blown out.

    • SirRedDevil

You bitter jarhead get over it like you said you have rings and he has a CIF MVP on his resume geesh I truly wish the worst on you and your arrogant program!

      • Saints Go Marching In

Bitter party of one… As for our arrogant program, one day the bottom will fall out from under. Things don’t last forever but like you said, its a wing z system and as long as he is calling the shots I like their chances. Enjoy your new league, if Lockett was MVP in the VVL he will be all world next year. Curious as to what division you land in. You may still have to face the Saints again.

        • SirRedDevil

Won’t mind facing You guys next year.

    • SirRedDevil

Also when Joseph Mayorga Pass for 1000 and Rush for 1000 in one season as a SOPHOMORE let us know Mayorga was just another plug in play running back in Z system just like the RBs in the past Nico Barbone,Erik Brown,Jonathan Joseph,Dillion Corona, Ryan Kohler and the list goes on what do they all have in common none of them played RB at the next level better yet none of them got any run at the next level at end of the day DARREON LOCKETT will be a top recruit in his class as a ATHLETE!

    • SirRedDevil

FYI if any kid wants to get a chance to play at the next level or at least talk to REAL College Recruiters come to POMONA I know for a FACT that they get kids out and not just USE them For Their Athletic ability and drop them at the end of their career with a pat on the behind telling them to dwell off the memories of a CIF Ring

      • Heights

No one and I mean no one is transferring to Pomona for obvious reasons. SD would love the talent Pomona has. If Pomona was coached by the San Dimas staff, they would never lose. But then again the kids might quit because the couldn’t handle the coaching.

        • SirRedDevil

That’s B.S. trust me the coaches at Pomona are far more polished than SD staff Big Z knows who has his number when it comes to stopping that “Wing-Z” and the only reason SD is successful is because kids from elsewhere Joseph Mayorga (San Gabriel) Fausto Martinez (Pomona) Chris Rufus (Covina) and etc. If the only kids you guys had to play with was from SD you guys would be in BIG TROUBLE

          • Saints Go Marching In

Far more polished??? You realize that your OC flapping his arms in his yellow shirt gave all the same signals all year long. He doesn’t even know how to disguise his no huddle play calling. Try having 2 or 3 players do it. Try switching signs per quarter, try giving dummy calls then real call then dummy calls again like baseball. There are so many ways to do it, yet your polished coach couldn’t figure that out. You don’t think SD and Paraclete had that filmed, they cover all angels because they are more polished than everyone else. It took them til the second half to change to the big black guy in the grey shirt standing next to him, which they figured out with in 2 plays. Far more polished doesn’t get you blown out two years in a row. If SD had the athletes of Pomona they would never lose but I doubt the Pomona kid could handle the discipline, structure, and expectations of the coaching staff at SD. You have no idea how they work over there and what they expect. There is a reason they win with what they have and a reason kids want to transfer there. They are winners and other winners want to be around them.

          • SirRedDevil

Where do you keep getting the Pomona kids can’t handle you guys discipline when literally HALF of your Darn Roster is filled with Pomona Kids! FYI 1st year running that no huddle offense and they did a darn good job running with a 2nd String Soph. QB! So you know what I would give you this Z is far more polished because he’s been running since his Northview days and he was doing okay then and years went by he tweaked it a little bit year by year he got better so eventually the same will happen for Pomona and it’s actually happening at a faster rate! As I said before when you guys start winning with kids from your own city let us know please until then stop bragging about other city kids!

Next year the Mid Valley will consist of 5 leagues. The Valle Vista League, Almont League, Mission Valley League, Monteview League, and the Miramonte League. The Rio Hondo and Alpha will Join the Northwest. This will put Monrovia and Paraclete and Sierra Canyon against the likes of Oak Park , Nordoff, Bishop Diego, Whitter Chistian, Maranatha, La Salle and The Torrance schools. Seemingly a better fit. This will make the Mid-Valley a road through San Dimas for the Next 2-3 Years probably. With teams like Pomona,Northview,Montebello,Arroyo and Azusa. All with probably a chance to make deep playoff runs every year and possibly win CIF. This is probably a more balanced division now that Monrovia and Paraclete will be in the Northwest. I look forward to seeing these new Divisions fall into place..
