Diamond Ranch’s Kammy Delp chooses Arizona State at Sunday’s prestigious Semper Fidelis All-American football game

UPDATE: Kammy Delp made his decision on Sunday during the game, chose Arizona State.

Kammy Delp will perform in Sunday’s prestigious Semper Fidellis All-Star game in Carson: Diamond Ranch High offensive lineman Kammy Delp has narrowed his list of potential college destinations from over a dozen to a manageable few. But his high school coach thinks it’s unlikely Delp will announce his decision at Sunday’s Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl in Carson.
Coach Roddy Layton isn’t a fan of the college hat dance performed by some recruits as they announce their decisions at televised all-star games, feeling it’s an unfair way to inform the schools not chosen. He said Delp is still making his decision, and will personally contact all the parties involved when the time is right.
“I think he’s got a couple favorites,” said Layton, “… but he’s gonna finish taking his (campus) trips. … I don’t like (televised announcements) and he knows that. When it’s the appropriate time, he’ll call the coaches.”
