UPDATE: Glendora, St. Lucy’s, Covina, Northview, Baldwin Park, San Dimas, Walnut, La Puente, West Covina, Workman, Gladstone, Pomona, Bassett, Ganesha, Diamond Bar, Diamond Ranch, Wilson, Nogales, Rowland, Los Altos, Bonita and Duarte have cancelled outdoor activities — mostly boys, girls soccer and girls water polo because of the Colby Fire in Glendora and the huge cloud of smoke and ash over the San Gabriel Valley. Basically, entire Valle Vista, Hacienda and Montview League outdoor sports cancelled. In Whittier, the Whittier school district has cancelled all outdoor activities. La Mirada HS, St. Paul and El Rancho have suspended all outdoor activity.
