SIGNING DAY FOOTBALL STORY: From Friday night lights to Saturday afternoon dreams.
The area sent another bumper crop of local high school football prospects to the next level on Wednesday as part of National Signing Day festivities.
From La Habra to Charter Oak to Diamond Ranch to Pasadena, and many places in between, top local football recruits realized their dreams by finalizing their college destinations.
At La Mirada, it was a who’s who of college football powers that saw Matadores join their respective programs. Tight end Tyler Luatua signed with Notre Dame and receiver Dallis Todd signed with Oklahoma.
They weren’t the only Matadores to sign on the dotted line, though. Lineman Michael Trani signed with Cal and Nofo Ti’i signed with Navy.
