Northview girls wrestling hoping to repeat as state champs

By Steve Ramirez
Northview High School won its first CIF State girls wrestling championship last season, and judging by a recent performance, the Vikings look like favorites to repeat.
Northview, well-known as the top boys program in the area over the past two decades, takes another step toward consecutive titles at this weekend’s CIF-Southern Section finals, scheduled for Saturday at Roosevelt High School in Corona. Opening rounds are scheduled for 10 a.m., with the finals slated for 6:15 p.m. The top eight in each weight class qualify for the state championships, scheduled for Feb. 28-March 1 in Visalia
