But the Bearcats may have their best opportunity yet. Bonita, after winning another Hacienda League title, received the top seed in Division 1AA when the CIF-SS released playoff pairings on Sunday. The Bearcats, who lost in the semifinals last season and in the finals in 2011, will host Silverado in the first round on Saturday at 7 p.m. Bonita is one of six area teams to receive a top-16 placement, with Bishop Amat No. 5 in 1AA and Diamond Ranch No. 4 in 3AA. The others are South Hills (10) and Wilson (15) in 3AA and Covina (11) in 3A.
