The Tribune baseball polls will be published March 3, opening day of the high school baseball season. For now, check out the CIF-SS pre-season polls and tell us what you think. You’ve got a week to tell us who deserves to be No. 1 in the Tribune area, and take your crack at the top ten.

    No Mater Dei in D1?

    D1 looks about right . Mater dei is young and can be on top soon . Division 2 without chino hills ranked . Chinos hills is ranked in the nation and has around 8 d1 players . Serra graduated best pitchers and the bAtes brothers transfered to oak hills . They won’t have the pitch in this year . Haven’t seen Bonita this year so don’t know much . San Dimas is legit .

      The knock on Chino Hills has never been the talent it’s their coaching. Year after year they have top talent and year after year they under perform. Billingsley is the most overrated coach in the Valley.

    My rankings ..
    1. South hills : many transfers the last couple years . With around 30 legit players they should be good this year . Going to be tough for the coach to keep parents happy. Many great players will sit the bench .
    2. Bishop Amat : deep pitching staff with both aces seasoned . 5 key starters returning from last years team . 3 players from team USA .
    4: Damien : early pitching commits with more experience now . A lot of good returners .
    5: San Dimas . My pick to win division 4
    6: Glendora : solid team .

    These teams are my top teams and above the rest . Northview , Baldwin park , nogales , diamond bar all graduated some top players .
