The job former South Hills coach Steve Bogan almost took is open again, Maranatha football coach Jude Oliva resigns

Maranatha football coach Jude Oliva resigned on Monday following a bittersweet first and only season in charge.
The Minutemen were 8-3 during his short tenure, winning the Olympic League title, but they fizzled out in the first round of the Northwest Division playoffs, losing to Duarte 27-17.
Oliva was initially hired to become the offensive coordinator last spring under head coach Pete Karavedas, but Karavedas left to become the head coach at Sunny Hills, and Oliva was promoted to head coach.
