The Serra Proposal was approved on Thurday, creating the following football leagues to start in the fall.
For all other sports, the Camino Deal Real Association proposal passed, which will group 17 boys and 16 girls into three leagues. They will be grouped into leagues by sport based on geography and competitiveness.

The Catholic Athletic Association met at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame on Tuesday and drafted the the following proposal for football only that will be turned in today and voted on March 27. The proposal is for a Catholic North and South League of four teams each, with Bishop Amat in the South. Athletic directors agreed that the final three games will be North and South league games only. Non-league games will include crossover games between the North and South, guaranteeing seven games, leaving only three non-league games to fill out. It guarantees the North and South two Pac-5 playoff spots with hopes of at-largue berths. The Mission League also submitted a proposal that will be turned in today as well that groups La Salle in the Mission with St. Francis. There also was talk at Tuesday’s meeting that Paraclete make make a bid to join the CAA.
Breaking News: Only two football only proposals were filed by the deadline, the one listed below that I’ve written about proposed by Serra High School, and another by Salesian which filed the exact same proposal as Serra, only Salesian flipped itself with Cathedral. So basically, Salesian and Cathedral have drawn a line in the sand and since both allegedly refuse to be in the same league, they will allow the ADs and principals to vote to determine who will play in the Pac-5 and who will go to the Mission League. It’s one or the other, no other proposals were filed so between now and March 29, expect reps from both schools to be lobbying hard for votes to avoid going to the Catholic South and Pac-5 …
