The Glendora baseball team has earned some room for error, but veteran coach Dan Henley is far from comfortable. The Tartans edged Upland 5-4 so they now lead the Baseline League and second-place Rancho Cucamonga by two games and Upland and Etiwanda by three.
Henley wasn’t surprised to see the Highlanders rally back and he isn’t feeling totally comfortable with his team’s lead.
“Upland hits the ball and we knew that lead wasn’t necessarily safe. We had some good at-bats early and we’re able to put up just enough runs,” Henley said. “I like our position but I also know there’s a long way to go and anything can happen.”
