Tim Godley replaces Greg Eckler as head boys basketball coach at Bonita

Bonita has named Tim Godley as its new boys basketball coach, officially replacing the popular Greg Eckler, who resigned during the league season following a halftime incident in the locker-room after two basketball players were allegedly ask to wrestle.
Godley most recently coached in high school at Maranatha from 2008-13, boasting five straight winning seasons and three straight 20-win seasons his final three years before becoming an assistant at the Masters College this past season. Godley played nearby at APU.
“Tim’s experience and record of success made him an attractive candidate for the head coach position at Bonita,” athletic director Darren Baumunk wrote. “Tim has coached successfully in a variety of settings and we believe this will help him to make a quick transition to the Bonita family. We are very excited to start a new chapter for Bonita Basketball while continuing our tradition of excellent coaching and outstanding classroom teaching.”
