After finishing San Diego State, Muema made national headlines for skipping the NFL combine because “God” told him to do it. He also said he would be drafted by the Seattle Seahawks but went undrafted and unsigned over the weekend. So what now? An ESPN story Tuesday quoted Muema saying he is done playing football and plans to try boxing or ultimate fighting. “I don’t like being a slave to money or coaches,” Muema told ESPN. “I prefer an individual sport.” A Sports Illustrated article today reports that Muema denied wanting to become a boxer or ultimate fighter, and that for the last two months, he has tweeted about traveling to Mexico, where Rayel has summoned his followers, the Rayelites, to gather in anticipation of the world ending. Based on his social media posts and brief interview with the San Diego Union Tribune this week, Muema appears to be there now. Whatever happens or whatever he decides to do, let’s hope he’s safe and happy.
