But high school athletes are notoriously unable to secure a fully funded college education until the arrival of National Signing Day their senior year. Everything up to that point is unofficial.
Chris Price is trying to change that.
The Managing Principal for EPIC’s Sports and Entertainment Programs Group has developed an insurance product designed to guarantee high school athletes’ college education is paid for as soon as they receive their first scholarship offer.
It’s not quite that simple — things seldom are in the convoluted world of college recruiting — but if an athlete’s scholarship offer is rescinded due to an injury and only an injury, Education Protector will provide $200,000 toward their higher education.
