Is the beginning of something special happening at Bishop Amat with one of the best junior classes in the state?

Bishop Amat is ranked sixth in the the Pac-5 and is two wins away (over Loyola and Notre Dame) from guaranteeing at least at tie for the Mission League title. And look how they’re doing it. JUNIOR quarterback Damian Garcia is leading the area in passing and nearly broke Pat Haden’s single-game passing record last week. JUNIOR receiver/corners Tyler Vaughns and Trevon Sidney are both highly-coveted D-1 prospects. Emerging JUNIOR running back Torreahno Sweet has found his groove, averaging more than 100 yards in each of his last three games. How about others like JUNIOR offensive lineman Kai Higgins, featured in today’s video. There are other JUNIORS making big contributions like defensive ends Andrew Vasquez, William Kelly, defensive lineman Ryan Munoz and corner Clarence Carter. They’re an improving team that is just starting to make noise and next year could be their best chance to win their first title since 1995. Don’t you agree?
