West Covina blanks LA: Los Altos was looking to keep its momentum following last week’s victory at Charter Oak and perhaps get back in the Hacienda League title chase.
But too many mistakes buried the Conquerors, and West Covina was more than willing to take advantage, winning 21-0 in front of a homecoming crowd and several members from its 2004 CIF championship team celebrating the 10th anniversary of its title.
Los Altos (3-5, 1-2) committed three turnovers ‑two fumbles and an interception ‑ and had a punt blocked that was returned for a touchdown.
