Last Week: I picked up three games on Aram to cut his lead to three with two weeks left in the regular season plus playoffs. I got him taking Alhambra over Keppel, West Covina over Los Altos, Pasadena Poly over Rio Hondo Prep and Bassett over Garey. Aram grabbed one back taking San Dimas over Covina

This Week: The big, big question is will Bishop Amat show rust or have a let-up following its bye week after three-straight momentum wins over Serra, Alemany and Chaminade with Loyola in town. Amat has won just won game in recent memory during bye weeks, beating Diamond Ranch in 2008. During bye weeks in league, Amat is 0-3 since 2010 and coach Steve Hagerty has gone on record saying he hates byes, but despite that, I can’t picture Amat losing to last-place Loyola. If Bishop Amat wins, it will have a chance to head to Notre Dame next week playing for a piece of the Mission League title, take the Lancers. Covina takes on Northview and with a win, can force a three-way tie along with San Dimas in the Valle Vista. But after Northview whipped San Dimas earlier in the season I can’t imagine the Vikings would let the Colts spoil their party. Take the Vikes. If you asked before the season I would be taking Charter Oak over West Covina, but not now. The Bulldogs were impressive beating Los Altos and will win out. South Hills’ amazing turnaround will get better Thursday night against Claremont and with a victory, South Hills will likely facing Glendora in the league finale for all the marbles in the Palomares. Take South Hills.
