South Hills goes to 4-0 in Palomares: South Hills will be playing for the first Palomares League championship next week after pulling out a last second win, 24-22, over Claremont on Thursday night at Walnut High School.
Senior Manny Munoz kicked a 22-yard field goal with three seconds left in the game to cap a 61-yard drive in the final 1:30.
The kick broke the hearts of the Wolfpack after they had rallied from an 11-point deficit early in the fourth quarter to take the lead. “That was a pretty special feeling,” Munoz said. “I just tried to act like it was practice and relax, focus, and get a point for my team. I just tried to stay to myself and kick it through the uprights.”

Azusa clinches share of Montview title: With just three rushes this season entering Thursday night’s game, junior Dominic Ramirez totaled only 30 yards.
With his first three touches of the ball Thursday, the 5-foot-8 Azusa High School running back totaled three touchdowns on runs of 69, 46 and 4 yards.
And he wasn’t through as he ran for another two scores and finished with 179 yards on 11 carries as the Aztecs defeated host Duarte, 49-30, in a Montview League game.

San Dimas routs Rowland, 49-0: Rowland and San Dimas highs had the same records, both overall and in the Valle Vista League, entering Thursday night. But the Saints put on a display of dominance to claim a 49-0 victory on their home field.
San Dimas (6-3, 3-1) has prided itself on its running game for several years, but the Saints found success through the air as well against Rowland (5-4, 2-2), with senior quarterback Andrew Avila completing seven passes for 97 yards and three touchdowns. Two of those touchdowns went to senior running back Chris Rufun, who had 44 receiving yards and 53 rushing yards on just four carries.
