Palomares Girls Soccer: Glendora moves into sole possession of first; Ayala beats South Hills 2-1 in OT

The Glendora girls soccer team tied Claremont 1-1 on Friday to go to 2-0-1 and take over sole possession of first in the Palomares. South Hills had a chance to be in first alone, but it couldn’t hold a 1-0 halftime lead over Ayala, who came back and beat the Huskies 2-1 in overtime. Ayala and South Hills are tied for second at 2-1.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS: Ayala’s Victoria Rama scored the game-winner in overtime to lift the Bulldogs (8-7-1, 2-1) to a 2-1 girls soccer victory over South Hills in the Palomares League. South Hills’ Maddy Warren scored in the first half to give the Huskies (10-3, 2-1) a 1-0 lead, but the Bulldogs’ Jackie Mejia tied it off a corner in the 62nd minute to send the game to overtime.
