5. South El Monte (14-3) — Second behind Gabrielino in a tougher than expected Mission Valley.
6. Los Altos (11-5) — Expected loss to Chino, 1-1 in Hacienda.
7. Bonita (9-11) — Has fallen since league opening win over Glendora
8. Covina (11-8) — Big wins over Wilson and Rowland to go to 2-0 in VVL
9. Bishop Amat (7-10) – Bishop Amat is this close to falling out of the area rankings in a down year for girls basketball. My how the mighty have fallen and fallen fast.
10. Arroyo (10-8) — Have to remember it lost by only two points to Bishop Amat.
