Can someone explain how the Diamond Ranch boys basketball team is STILL on the Open Division watchlist?

I’m not posting this to poke fun at the Diamond Ranch boys basketball team, more power to them if they can remain on the CIF-SS Open Division watchlist with a 9-6 overall record, except that the Open Division was created to take the best teams from all the divisions and place them into one super division. What I don’t get is how in the world is Diamond Ranch still on the radar, especially following last week’s 83-57 loss to Walnut. It’s not like they lost on a last-second shot, they got handled. There’s only one team in the SGV deserving of being on the list and that’s Damien, rightfully on it. In our backyard, Glendora, Walnut, Bishop Amat and Los Altos would all be more deserving than Diamond Ranch, but somehow Diamond Ranch remains under consideration? What gives, I know on paper Diamond Ranch was supposed to be much better, but we’re nearing February. You are what you’re at this point. You don’t reward teams based on what you think they should do, you reward them by what they’re doing.
