Damien dominates Chino Hills 94-78; Glendora outduels Diamond Bar 39-33; Wilson beats Rowland 56-48

STORY: How good is Damien? After beating Rancho Cucamonga on the road, Damien went to power Chino Hills and came away with a 94-78 boys basketball victory to take control of the Baseline, one of the best leagues in the Southern Section. Jeremy Hemsley finished with 33 points, Malik Fitts added 23 and Bryce Peters finished with 21

Glendora wins fourth straight: The Glendora High School boys basketball team earned its fourth consecutive victory since joining the Palomares League Wednesday night, holding off a Diamond Bar comeback for a 39-33 road victory.
The Tartans (18-2, 4-0) held a 35-21 advantage going into the final frame, and up to that point in the game, the Brahmas had been shooting under 20 percent from the field. However, Diamond Bar (11-9, 2-2) started the fourth quarter with a 12-2 run, cutting the Tartan lead to just four.
“Diamond Bar had great defense tonight, which made it difficult for us,” Glendora head coach Michael LeDuc said. “Still, we had some good looks I thought, but we didn’t make them. We started playing tentative basketball, and they took advantage of that.”
