Tuesday Recap: Goalie Alexa Moreno recorded her fourth straight shutout to lead Duarte to 3-0 girls soccer win

Duarte 3, Azusa 0 — Goalie Alexa Moreno recorded her fourth straight shutout and Lindsey Lathrop, Gaby Melendez and Lori Near each scored a goal to lead the Falcons (12-4-1, 8-1) to the Montview League victory. Jackie Hurtado and Savannah Cook both had an assist for Duarte.
San Dimas 4, Rowland 3 — Cheyenne Cepeda scored three goals for the Saints (9-11-2, 8-2) in a Valle Vista League match. Cepeda scored the third goal with 10 seconds left with an assist from Taylor Sunga. Also contributing to San Dimas’s victory was Hailey Miano who scored a goal. Alexis Caceres and Edith Mejia both scored a goal for Rowland (8-9-2, 6-3).
Charter Oak 3, West Covina 0 — Amber Alveraz scored a goal with an assist from Samantha Morales for the Chargers (11-10-2, 5-3-1) in a Hacienda League match.
Boys soccer
El Monte 2, Marshall 1 — Jesus Garcia and David Martinez each scored a goal for the visiting Lions (12-6-2, 9-1-1) in a Mission Valley League match.
Girls water polo
Charter Oak 25, West Covina 2 — Hailey Siedentopp scored five goals and had two assists and Jiselle Moreno had three goals and two steals to lead the Chargers (23-5, 8-1) to the Hacienda League victory. Michelle Moran and Emily Tuck both scored twice for Charter Oak.
Bonita 15, Claremont 3 — Amanda Legaspi and Erin Gonzalez both scored five goals to lead the Bearcats (14-5, 7-1) to their final Palomares League win of the season. Goalies Rachel Garwick and Alisha Plum combined had 14 saves and Kirra Hemric scored twice for Bonita.
Boys basketball
Rowland 65, San Dimas 53 — Jesus Hernandez had 19 points and four rebounds and Derek Ohara had 12 points and five assists to lead the Raiders (17-8, 6-3) to the Valle Vista League victory. Jonathan Hu had 11 points and four rebounds, Earl Allen had 10 points and 10 rebounds and Jeremiah Galvez had nine points and six rebounds for Rowland.
