Wednesday Recap: South Hills girls basketball wins 53-28 to clinch a share of the Palomares League title since 2002

Girls basketball
South Hills 53, Glendora 28 — Brittany Wang had 13 points and Joy Krupa had 10 points, seven rebounds and seven blocks to lead the Huskies (20-6, 8-2) to clinch a share of the Palomares League title with Ayala. It is the Huskies first league title since 2002. Sam Perez had nine points and Denise Wang added eight points for South Hills. Michelle Can had nine points for Glendora.
Boys basketball
Diamond Ranch 63, Los Altos 41 — Roman Silva had 24 points to lead the Panthers (16-8, 7-2) to the Hacienda League victory.
Boys soccer
Claremont 2, Bonita 1 — Nick Kim and Jack Kolodge both scored a goal to lead the Wolfpack (16-1-4, 9-0-1) to the Palomares league victory. Alex Alvarado and Austin Antillon both had an assist for Claremont.
Damien 3, Rancho Cucamonga 0 — David Gang, Garrett Souza and Lucas Terriquez each scored a goal to lead the visiting Spartans (16-3-3, 8-1-1) to the Baseline League victory
Bishop Amat 2, Salesian 1 — Havier Zaragoza and Matthew Espinosa both scored a goal for the Lancers (11-1-4, 5-1-1) in a Del Rey League match.
Diamond Bar 3, Ayala 2 — Josh Bortis scored the winning goal in overtime to lead the Brahmas (16-5-2, 7-2-1) to the Palomares League victory. Guy Horcasitas and Chase Yamauchi both scored a goal, goalie Alec Arguello had six saves and Jordan Wong had two assists for Diamond Bar.
Girls soccer
Diamond Bar 1, Ayala 0 — Emily Slater scored a goal with an assist from Helena Kisor for the Brahmas (12-8-2, 3-5-2) in a Palomares League match. Goalkeeper Stevie Eide recorded a shutout for Diamond Bar.
South Hills 2, Glendora 0 — Amber Marinero scored a goal and goalies Alyssa Lopez and Amanda Vallado combined for the shutout to lead the Huskies (14-5, 6-3) to place second in the Palomares League.
Girls water polo
San Dimas 6, Wilson 5 — Alondra Reynoso scored five goals and goalie Shelby Garcia had 10 saves to lead the Saints (18-10, 9-0) to finish their season being undefeated in the Valle Vista League. Reynoso scored the winning goal in overtime against the Wildcats (12-9, 5-4). Kyana Emeterio scored twice and Lizette Perez, Taylor Jaurique and Amber Espinoza each scored a goal for Wilson.
