Michelle Ghirelli, a former South Hills assistant softball coach, charged: Orange County prosecutors Monday said two female South Hills High School teachers supplied cocaine to students at a beach party where they also had sex with the teens.
Teachers Melody Lippert, 38, of Covina, and Michelle Ghirelli, 30, of West Covina, each could go to state prison for more than a decade if convicted, officials said.
A party, involving the two women and five male students, occurred in San Clemente between Dec. 27 and Dec. 29 on a camping trip, according to a press release.
“At some point during the trip, Lippert is accused of facilitating Ghirelli’s sexual relationship with 17-year-old John Doe,” The press release said. “Ghirelli is accused of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with John Doe and orally copulating the victim.”
Prosecutors allege Lippert organized the trip by sending a group text message to Ghirelli and the five male students.
