Nogales 17, El Monte 2 — Chase Martinez pitched a complete game, Macie Lewis had a triple and a home run and Mia Escobar had two singles and a home run to lead the Nobles (5-0) to the nonleague victory. Also contributing to Nogales’s win were Lisette Rosales who had a single, a double and a triple and Erin Recilles who had three singles.
Baseball
Nogales 17, El Monte 4 — Richard Felix pitched five innings, striking out nine and David Barcena went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and a double for the Nobles (7-2) in a nonleague victory. Austyn Rivera went 2 for 2 with three RBIs and a triple, Jonathan Guardado went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and a double, Juan Guardado went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a double and David Barcena went 3 for 4 with four RBIs and a double for Nogales.
Wilson 8, Western 1 — Aaron Quezada pitched a complete game striking out five and Hector Hernandez and Ethan Suarez both had two RBIs and a double to lead the Wildcats (7-1) to the nonleague victory. Christian Mora went 2 for 3 with an RBI and Hector Hernandez, Carlos Gonzalez, and Jose Felix each had a double for Wilson.
