Chino 4, Charter Oak 3 — Josh Jacquez pitched six innings, striking out two, and Jake Longe got the save for the Cowboys (9-8, 4-1) in a Hacienda League win. For Chino, Jonathan Alba went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Cesar Sandoval went 2 for 4 and knocked in a run.
Bishop Amat 15, Buena 7 — Jayson Gonzalez went 4 for 4 with four RBIs and Sergio Robles had three RBIs and a home run to lead the Lancers (9-7-1) to the Righetti Tournament victory. Also contributing to Bishop Amat’s victory were Kristian Scott who went 3 for 5 with two RBIs and two doubles, Aaron McCann who had two RBIs and a double, Adryan Ramirez who had an RBI and a double and Nicholas Valdez who had a double .
La Puente 5, Ganesha 1 — Anthony Villareal pitched seven innings, striking out five, Ryan Franco hit a three run homer and Matthew Marin went 3 for 3 to lead the Warriors (3-2) to the Miramonte League win.
Softball
La Puente 15, Ganesha 3 — Amanda Guillen had three doubles, Jessica Salazar hit a homer and Gina Reyes had a triple to lead the Warriors (5-6, 4-1) to the Miramonte League victory. Driana Ruedas and Yvonne Huerta each had a double and Darlene Guerrero, Berlin Bonilla and Kimberly Delgado each had two singles for La Puente.
